Albeit, Passionstar wasn't their father, being a role figure in their life was an incredible experience. He did love playing with them, and sometimes disciplining them when they needed it. He knew they would all turn into fine cats, but even so, Passionstar wasn't very happy to know that Goosepaw had to be taken to Shadowclan. He knew the she cat had been sickly, but he figured her health would get better if she stayed in thunderclan. It was a cautious decision, but Passionstar relied on the stars, and if the stars thought it was a good idea, then he wouldn't disrespect it.
As he padded into the nursery, a dead mouse was in his jaws, freshly killed by himself since he wanted to offer it to Everglare, wondering if she would be okay and pleasant to talk to. He probably couldn't make her feel better straightaway with the recent events, but he knew that within time, she'd be fine. Passionstar thought she was a resilient she cat and she was a strong one. Right now, all she needed was a good friend to let her know that he cared.

Everglare breathed in the scent of the nursery, the sweet milky scent. It was less than a moon ago that she had been in the nursery caring for her own bundles of joy. She closed her eyes and could remember the five balls of fluff curled up against her side, but when she opened her eyes, they were gone. Goosepaw had gone to ShadowClan, left to become medicine cat apprentice of a different clan. The stars may have said so, but Everglare didn't have to agree with the stars. They should give advice, and not tell all the living cats how to live their lives. She sighed, her other kits had become apprentices, and though she could see them every day, it still felt like they had all left with Goosepaw.
The muddy colored molly was surprised to see Passionstar enter the nursery with a mouse in his mouth. She padded over to him, a eyebrow raised in confusion. "You do realize I sleep in the warriors den now?" she teased, sitting down in front of the tom. She didn't know how he had guessed she would be in the nursery, but she didn't mind. The tom was just what Everglare needed to take her mind of the kits.
