"LEARN HOW TO FIGHT!!!" Stormkit hissed, jumping up, high, into the air. Then, she made a flip mid-air, and landed, claws unsheathed, on Fluffykit. She started clawing him. |

Nodding at how words, Windystar tilted his head. It seemed to be awhile before the tom spoke up again, and the words confused him. Forestshade’s sister? The tom’s voice seemed thick with emotion, and, no matter how much curiousity peaked in his mind, the long-furred Tom held his tongue. It seemed to be neither the time nor the place to ask such seemingly personal questions. If Forestshade was going to drop the subject, so was he. And miraculously, the other tom accepted his friendship. It would be nice, to get to know the solitary cat a little bit more. “Nothing really,” he shrugged in response, enjoying how open he was being. But, of course, the moment passed, and the other feline seemed much more closed off. Dang it. But an unexpected question came up, and Windystar tilted his head with curiousity and interest. “Like what? I'm up for it.” |

Stormkit chased after him. "You know what, I was acting like the most savage, mouse-brained rogue in the forest. I should know that Clanmates do NOT attack Clanmates. I appoligize." Stormkit walked away, back to the nursery, and fell asleep. |

@Silverkit~
Snow drifted down from the stormy sky, as a group of coughing cats was escorted out of the camp. Smokesky sat near the middle of camp, his eyes drifting quietly to a close. The snow stuck to his dark pelt and face. It was getting darker and darker... His eyes shot open and he leapt up. That had been close. he had almost fallen asleep. A deadly mistake, by his standards. He circled a few times, shaking his head and closing his eyes tight. He should be doing something productive for his clan, not sitting here. Besides, as he couldn't sleep, he should be a much better asset to his clan. They were in desperate need of herbs, and prey. Most of the cats in his clan were sick with greencough, a horrible disease that killed kits and elders every leaf-bare. he could not remember seeing a case as bad as this, though. the sickness had spread through the clan like a raging wildfire, killing and infecting more and more everyday. He was fortunate not to be among those who had caught it. Of course, it wasn't the only disease that had infected the clans. There was another one, much slower, much deadlier- one that had been around for a long time. The dark forest and all of the cats in it. In times like these, it began to prey on the sick and weak, turning them to it's cause- death and destruction. So many cats had been turned. he wondered how many had been turned by the lies of his own mother. The Dark forest had always been a part of his life. When he was younger, his mother neglected and abused him, making him feel as if a part of him was missing. He had thought what he needed was her love and affection, but now he realized that she had been evil all along. the dark forest only attacked cats who had a reason to hate- traumatic pasts, disabilities, the loss of loved ones. And the choking desire to feel whole again- like him. By the time his mother died, he understood that his mother was evil and would only serve to bring him into the darkness. He thought that he would never have to see her face again- but he was wrong. Every night, in his dreams, she stalked him, promising him things that would be given to him as long as he became a loyal dark forest citizen. Of course, he knew that none of that was true. But she came every night in dreams, anyway. Soon, he knew that he could not sleep- only quick naps here and there- because if he did, she would be there. The greatest temptation for him was the promise of her love, and he knew that, if he was weak, he would fall right back into her arms. So he could not sleep. Not now, not when everything seemed so hopeless. What if he gave up? What then? The temptation was too great. He snarled at himself to stay awake and stuck his head into the snow, closing his eyes tight. So tight that patterns began to play in the dark abccesses of his mind. When he was here, he was alone with his thoughts. He battled with himself constantly in these dark depths. For it was only here that he was truly alone. |
Re: ShadowClan Clearing
@Rosemew Today was the day. Wow that came so fast. Bettlepaw's warrior assessment. The tom was so nervous and he was her mentor. Had he trained her well enough? Would she pass? When she was a warrior would she just ignore him? Despite liking his alone time and enjoying silence Sleetfall had grown to like the mysterious apprentice. She was quite and didn't annoy him like a lot of young cats. When Beetlepaw came into view he'd wave his bushy tail for her to come over. "Beetlepaw," He'd call though his voice wasn't that loud. He didn't like being loud. Waiting for his apprentice the patchy tom pondered on how to explain her assignment. |
