Re: The Starcave
(Just so that staff know, they will not be contacting StarClan, we're here to give North his full name. They will sleep but StarClan will not come to them in their dreams.)
Zerosight quietly, and almost sneakily, padded toward the StarCave, pausing just slightly at the top of the hill that would slowly slope down until they came upon the opening. He turned to make sure Northpaw was following, knowing that he as an apprentice had struggled with the journey. When he had been a full medicine cat the journey had been done easily, with very little thought put into it, and now it was becoming harder for him once again. Of course, Northpaw had been here before, and he was grown up now; the journey was probably fairly easy to him now. Taking a deep breath it and out, to slow his heartbeat, he listened. It was eerily silent, the only sound being a slight breeze that rustled the branchs of the trees. No whispering... The medicine cat swallowed hard, his blind blue eyes worried. "No talking unless necessary from this point out, okay?" He meowed, what he usually meowed before they entered the cave. Zero always felt it better not to talk when in the sacred area, knowing they could talk once they left the cave. Of course, the tom was going to break that rule tonight, to do the one exception. |
Re: The Starcave
@Zero to Hero
The dark apprentice flicked his tail as they entered the Starcave. He had mixed and conflicting emotions about what was to happen next. He was excited since this meant he was earning his full medicine cat name - yet he knew that Ratnight would punish them for doing such a thing. Especially right after he outlawed any belief in Starclan. Northpaw quivered at both the thought of earning his name and of him and his mentor being punished by their tyrannical leader. The young tom gave a quick nod as he was told not to speak from this point onward. Zerosight... He silently thought, almost as if he was speaking to his mentor despite not actually talking as they made their way through the darkness towards the area where the ceremony would take place. He was debated on what to say to the black tom. He didn't want to seem ungrateful and point out that they would be swiftly punished if their leader - or rather any clan mate that was his follow - found out about this. In fact,he was grateful, very grateful. He had spent moons training with Zerosight and grew to care for the older tom, seeing him as sort of a father. But he was afraid. He didn't want to get punished in fear of being killed - which was a natural fear - but he also didn't want Zerosight to be harmed either while doing this for him. We could just wait... wait until everything settles down back at camp, maybe than Ratnight will also realize what he's said and how crazy it is! But he had this terrible sinking feeling about all these new leaders and what they were doing. But instead he gave a small smile to Zerosight. His whole time as a medicine cat apprentice, Starclan has been quite... silent. He never really came into contact with them despite the fact that every medicine cat has come into contact with their ancestors. Though he let his recent paranoia blame Bucknight and Blazingnight - the first leaders with those strange suffixes who became leader before he took the role as Zerosight's apprentice. But this might be his chances to do so. Though of course it would be when Starclan was outlawed in the clans. Thank you, Northpaw continued his silent conversation, his smile was genuine but a bit on the weak side due to the stress and worries he held for his clan as well as the others. Thank you so much for everything, he he added the last part, he didn't know why his voice seemed to break slightly. He blinked his autumn orbs and shook out his dark grey pelt. |
Re: The Starcave
Zerosight silently padded down the cool tunnel, toward the center of the Starcave. He knew the way by heart, but was taking it slow, wanting to relish in the moment that he would likely not see again for a long time, or at least he assumed. Not unless some savior came out from nowhere to release them from the captive of their evil leaders, but that was a crazy notion.
The silence of his ancestors was eeiry, and he almost wanted to turn tail and run. The only sound that could be heard was their breathing, and the silent dripping noise of water from deep within the tunnel. The wind blew through from behind them, making a hollow whistling noise that raised the hair on the back of his neck. It had never been this silent before. However, he was able to continue onward, knowing that this was an important moment for both him and his apprentice. They reached the main part of the starcave after a few moments of walking, and he went up to the crystal in the middle eagarly. The tom slowed to a halt beside in and sat, turning and 'looking' at Northpaw as he made his way to stand beside him. "Northpaw," He meowed after a moment, his voice echoing in the silence. "You are grown up now, and you deserve your full name. Believe it or not, you are not a little kit anymore and have come a long way from those many moons ago when we met. I couldn't have been more lucky of a mentor." His voice was heavy with emotion; a mix of happiness, excitement, and also a bit of sadness that this meant their time together was reaching the road to the end. The tom cleared his throat, sitting up straighter. "I, Zerosight, medicine cat of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice." He almost looked around in fear as if one of the evil leaders were watching, but he knew that he was safe here. "He has trained hard to understand the ways of a medicine cat, and with your help he will serve his Clan for many moons to come." The tom continued, his voice ringing clear and loud in the cave. "Northpaw, do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?" |
Re: The Starcave
@Zero to Hero
As they made their way towards the center of the cave in silence, the younger tom also felt the eerie tone around them. He shifted his weight as he followed his mentor, trying not to seem too unsettled by the silence of the place. Like Zerosight, he had never been here in such silence. Though he did spend most of his time in the medicine den along with Zerosight, it wasn't always so quite. They usually spoke or had patients so the apprentice never really experienced such silence. It was a bit unnerving. He blinked as they approached the center, and the younger tom had to hold himself back from bounding over to it like an excited kit. Instead, he shook his fur out and watched Zerosight carefully, not wanting to embarrass himself during this important time. As the medicine cat reached the center and turned towards Northpaw, the tabby neared him, autumn orbs wide with interest. This would be his first medicine cat naming ceremony that he's been a part of and he wasn't exactly sure what he was suppose to do so he tried his best to mimic the warrior and apprentice ceremonies. Northpaw stood a bit straighter when his mentor's voice rang across the cave in the start of the ceremony. He felt a surge of his own pride for himself. The tom had feared he wouldn't be enough to succeed his mentor, but it gave him some encouragement as he was about to earn his full medicine cat name. He wished he could run over towards Surgestorm when this was over and show off his new name - whatever it may be - but he was reminded that he could not so at a time like this. Does Starclan hear him? Will they visit us tonight and show their approval of me? The tom knew how silent Starclan had been towards them, and started to worry that perhaps they might not even bother to show to the naming of a medicine cat. Or maybe they would and claim they disprove of him. But their silence might also show their disapproval... if this happens, will Zerosight drop me as his apprentice? He did not wish to think that his mentor would quickly drop him in order to please Starclan. What am I saying? Of course he wouldn't! Northpaw forced himself to calm down. Everything that was happening with their new leaders was making him so paranoid. The charcoal apprentice listened carefully to the last part. This was part that he'd have to vow to. He noted that it was slightly different from the vow that new warriors and apprentices had to make, but he liked this one better anyway. of course, the last part was one of those parts where you never think of. When would he even have to risk his life to protect another cat? If there was a fight, it would be left to the warriors while medicine cats would be relatively safe and just healing cats. But he did agree with everything else. He was one of those cats that didn't entirely understand the borders and didn't stereotype the other clans. Plus, he enjoyed healing cats and making them feel better. It wasn't a difficult choice. "I do," Northpaw's voice was so sure as he answered this, and he seemed to able to stand just a bit more taller as he mewed the simply yet binding words. |
Re: The Starcave
It was quiet, but a tiny wave of whispers floated across Zerosight's ears, which instantly pleased the tom. At Northpaw's strong "I do," they spoke up again as if to voice their approval.
"Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your true name as a medicine cat. Northpaw, from this moment you will be known as Northpath." He paused and listened quietly for a moment, hoping Northpaw approved of his choice in name. It wasn't every day that he got to name a cat, but he figured that this name fit. "StarClan honors your courage, determination, dedication, energy, honesty, intelligience, kindness, loyalty, patience... and wisdom," The medicine cat trailed off a bit, blushing as he realized he was rambling. "And we welcome you as a full medicine cat of ThunderClan." Usually, the other medicine cats were with them when the name ceremony was done, and would begin to congratulate the tom, but unfortunately they were not. Instead, Zerosight spoke up. "Congragulations Northpaw..." He meowed, leaning forward to touch his nose to his apprentice's forehead. "I'm really proud of you." |
Re: The Starcave
@Zero to Hero
The tom could hardly wait to hear what his new name was going to be. He honestly didn't know what would sound to good with his prefix, but was sure that whatever name Zerosight gave him, he would love nonetheless. He continued to shift his one his paws, though it was mostly in excitement rather than his fear of Ratnight. His ears perked and he strained them in order to hear as he heard some faint whispers. Northpaw could see that Zerosight looked pleased by the whispers. Is that what Starclan sounds like when they approve? Though he couldn't be entirely sure he had even heard anything since it had been faint to his own ears. But he quickly put that thought aside when his mentor continued to the naming part of the ceremony. His tail twitched when Zerosight informed him that he would now announce his new name - the name of a full medicine cat, though he would still be technically Zerosight's apprentice despite his knowledge, but he was fine with that and loved his mentor. He was glad that he'd still work under Zerosight and that he would be second that others would come to for medical attention. His mentor was much more experienced when it came to healing. Northpath, the newly named tom looked clearly pleased by this name. He liked the way it sounded and how it rang on the cave when Zerosight announced it. He wished to thank his mentor for the name and the training, but he decided to hold that until he was finished with the ceremony. It would be rude for the younger tom to interrupt him, especially during such an important time in his own life. Northpath blushed as he was complimented - similar to when anyone would compliment him. His chest felt warmed as he listened to Zerosight close the ceremony and watched him with kind autumn orbs. Though he doubted that he was all his mentor was saying he was, believing that he mentor saw him through rose colored glasses. AS Zerosight exclaimed that Thunderclan welcomed him as a full medicine cat now, he knew that it was over. The ceremony had been quick, but it was still one of the most important moments in his young life. "Thanks you," he purred softly as Zerosight congratulated him. "For everything..." he added on the last part he had thought earlier. He licked his mentor's shoulder and waved his tail, continuing to not thin of Ratnight nor what was going on back at camp. Northpath was only in the moment. |
Re: The Starcave
Geckoleaf slowly entered the glittering cave, her paws unsure of the path she had not traveled for many moons. But memory served her well, and soon, she and Russetswirl were in the belly of the cavernous opening. A smile spread across the she-cat's face; many fond memories from younger days swirled through her mind. She remembered coming as a newly named apprentice, to be accepted by her ancestors, and then again to receive her full name. Looking back to assure he was following, she then looked back towards the cavern, and continued down to the stone, careful to avoid the various crystals poking out of the stone. Carefully, she crossed the flat clearing at the bottom, the ethereal light of cave giving it a strange glow. She paused for a moment, both to allow Russetswirl to catch u, and to simply enjoy being there. She had always felt peaceful and calm in the Starcave; it had always been obvious to the tabby molly that StarClans presence was here, and this was a sacred place. She moved a few steps forward, until she was in front of a large, dark crystal, with flecks of color underneath the deep varnish on top. She could see a slight depression where many cats before her had touched their nose to it. Turning to Russetswirl, she offered him a slight smile. "It's time," Geckoleaf whispered, softly, her breathy voice surprisingly loud in the stark silence of the cave. It one smooth motion, she pressed her nose to the stone, obviously expecting the warrior to follow. She felt her body slump, and her mind pulled into a dream.

@fenic!
Still as bubbly and energetic as she was during her short time in RiverClan, the fluffy Willowpaw bounded out of the shadows. Starts glittered in her fur and in her eyes, and a broad smile broke out as she spotted her former mentor. "Russetswirl!" she purred, almost shaking with excitement. Ever since her unfortunate drowning, she had watched her former mentor go through all of the trials and tribulations of the past few moons, hoping and praying that he would turn out okay. And now, here he was, the new leader of RiverClan. A purr rumbled deep in her chest as she stopped in front of the older tom, staring up at him with admiration shining in her eyes. When she had been chosen to deliver the first life to Russetswirl, a sense of honor and humbleness washed over her. Even though she hadn't trained with Russetswirl for too long before her unfortunate demise, she still thought of him as the best mentor and the best candidate to bring RiverClan back onto the path of StarClan. Snapping back to the present, the young Starclan apprentice smiled softly as she began her duty. "We are all so proud to see how far you have come, and I am honored to present you with the life of mentorship," she began, happiness seeming to radiate from within ever fiber of her being. "May you use it well to train all the cats of your Clan, young and old." As she finished, Willowpaw stretched her neck forward to touch her nose to Russetswirls to formerly deliver the life. The transition of the life from inside of her to Russetswirl passed seamlessly through her, although she was well aware of the pain it would cause Russetswirl. He would indeed feel the heavy weight of training all types of cats - from those who were stubborn to those who were natural born warriors. As the life ebbed into the new RiverClan leader, Willowpaw stepped back and gave one last smile to her former mentor. "Thank you so much for everything you have taught me. Always know that everything you have gone through, has not been in vein," she purred to him and dipped her head. The she-cat wanted to stay longer and comfort her mentor - she had watched him grieve over her drowned body when it was found by a RiverClan patrol, but she was glad that he could at least see that she was okay, and happy in StarClan. With a last wave of her tail and a sweet smile that was so genuinely Willowpaw, the fluffy she-cat disappeared back into the surrounding mist, among the eyes that circled around the new leader. |

Letting the deceased apprentice touch her nose to his, the tom's eyes widened as a flash of energy burst into his body, like he could run and hunt for hours. At first, it was a refreshing feeling for the soon-to-be leader, but then memories of fighting alongside those you've trained, the way you needed to protect those you helped to learn, it sliced into him like a wound. Lurching over in a barrage of pain, different memories about training his apprentices came to mind- it was Speckledpaw, Willowpaw, Crowpaw, and finally Rainpaw- he'd given his all to train them, and he could feel every single session he'd ever hosted wracking his body, the pain of defending the life of those who had yet to learn what they needed to. However, this didn't last as long as he thought it would- and after a few moments of excruciating pain, it ended up subsiding into a small murmur, which allowed him to open his eyes again, standing up straight in a slower manner, and letting out a deep breath as he watched Willowpaw step away, reaching out to the apprentice as she disappeared into the mist. "I'm sorry I let you die." He murmured to the molly, eyes filled with sympathy as he left. Gazing into the crowd of watching eyes, he wondered... who's next? |

Stepping out of the shadows after Willowpaw had given her gift to the new leader was a cat that the tom very likely didn't know, though perhaps he had seen her at gatherings, a kind she-cat who was always seen around young cats, telling them stories and playing with them, a cat by the name of Daisyfrost. The brown tortoiseshell approached with a warm, comforting smile on her muzzle and her tail held high above her head. This cat had been killed during the fire that raged across Thunderclan, having been murdered by a dark forest worshiping apprentice when she was weak from smoke inhalation, trying to catch back up with the clan in their evacuation. But now she was restored to her youth, restored to an unscathed, uninjured cat who no longer hurt. "Greetings Russetswirl." Meowed the she-cat in a voice so gentle it had the power to lull a kit to sleep in mere seconds, no matter how feisty the youngster may be. "With this life I give you love. Use it well to care for your clan when they need it the most, use it to strengthen those that are lonely and most of all, let it guide your heart." When the she-cat finished, she slowly craned her head forward to touch her nose to him to transfer the second life unto him. After it had been given, she would flash a loving grin and step back into the misty grounds of Starclan to make way for the next life. |

Re: The Starcave
After awaking in the dream with the tawny tom, Geckoleaf had hurriedly stepped off to the side, her semi-physical body hard to operate. She still had issues getting used to moving in the realm of StarClan; their bodies were something strange and different. Eyes focused on the leader, she smoothly sank into a sitting position, just a aloof from the ranks of starry warriors. The medicine cat swished her feathery tail over the soft dirt, and wrapped it around her paws, before she her focus back to Rowanswirl.
She watched as he received each life bravely, but she could see the Ben that wracked him underneath the surface. Being a medicine cat, she tried to heal others, to take their pain away and give them the best possible life. And to see someone suffering, without being able to do anything, hurt. But she knew it was for the best; the feline would come out of this stronger, and better than he would be otherwise. Shifting her blue orbs towards the left, her gaze focused on the ranks of cats, who she assumed were mostly RiverClanners. She stared at them, wondering if any her ancestors were their to view the shift of power. She spied a cat, seated in the far back who shared a strange resemblance to her; light orange fur, with dark tabby stripes, the same blue eyes, and the peculiar thin white marking down the chest that she and her mother shared. She had always wished to meet them, but had no such luck. Now would be no different; as soon as Russetswirl was named Russetstar they would be placed back into the real realm. |

Since his death generations ago, Aconiteheart had only participated in one leader ceremony: Almondfall's, and in this occasion he saw no reason to change the advice he gave his friend. "Hello Russetswirl!" the spotted brown tom greeted as he stepped forward, taking the place of his companions that had already completed their life-giving duty. "You wouldn't know me, but I was one of SkyClan's first medicine cats. I figured, with all five clans united, it'd be nice to mix up leadership ceremonies! Our ancestors are the same after all, even when the living was separated."
"With this life I give you friendship, to savor every precious moment you have with them .. because you don't know how long they'll be around." He spoke from experience, watching countless friends he'd made over the course of both life and death vanish into nothing but a distant memory. Detaching his nose from Russetswirl's forehead when the life was transmitted, he returned to the ranks of the onlooking spirits. |

As the Starclan cat touched his forehead, he realized that this life was a lot like the one of love, at first- but that last sentence was what sealed the deal for the thoughts which would come rushing in as the life was given- "Because you don't know how long they'll be around." Memories of Shellfeather, the mate who suddenly left him, disappearing out of nowhere; of his brother and sister, who'd betrayed his trust in them and did terrible things, both gone from the ranks of Riverclan. He thought of Crowpaw and Specklepaw, and Willowpaw as well- every single life that had been taken from him as soon as he placed his trust, in different ways. "...Thank you- for everything your clan has done for us." He uttered out, though his face was distraught- these thoughts, they hurt more than anything else, and it reminded him how truly fragile life was. |
Re: The Starcave
Now it was the small tom's turn. In the ranks, he was fairly bright, a newer spirit, but all the same, not as new as the lives lost in the liberation battles. In life the black and white feline was taken in his early moons by an unknown illness. As much as his mother and father wanted him to live, no matter how many herbs were used, the young tom never got better. It seemed to be a delayed death. Even so, the young feline never went a day without a smile and never went a day without giving something to someone else or helping someone else. He was a good spirit taken too early from the world. With small strides, he padded up to Russetswirl after Aconiteheart joined back with the ranks. His black and white patched pelt was sparkling with the stars, his yellow hues bright with honor and joy. "Hello Russetswirl, my name's Patchkit! I used to live in Windclan," he meowed cheerily, gazing up at the older tom. Although that cheeriness changed to something a bit more serious once he knew the words he was to use. "With this life, I give you generosity," while he was speaking, Patchkit rose up onto his hind legs to reach the older tom's head. "Use it to care for not only your clan mates, but the other clans and cats around you too; to give as much or help as much as you can and not to expect much in return," he tapped his nose to Russetswirl's forehead and once the life was given, he got back down on all four and took a last look at the tom. "Be wise when using it," he cautioned before turning and joining the Starclan ranks once more. |

Crimsontiger watched as Patchkit walked back to join the others. She still remembered the day she joined the ranks of StarClan. It wasn't very long ago. The day she joined StarClan, she was still stricken by grief over her terrible mistake. But, she'd kept her head high and that's how she hoped to keep it. Taking a deep breath, Crimsontiger started to walk forward. "Greetings Russetswirl. I'm Crimsontiger though you wouldn't know me, I was part of ShadowClan", Crimsontiger said, giving the soon-to-be leader a warm smile. The black furred warrior dipped her head as a sign of respect. "With this life, I give you forgiveness. Use it to forgive those who do wrong or harm to you or your clan", Crimsontiger said. She reached forward to touch noses with the russet coloured warrior, she could feel the energy of the life rush through her and pass on to him. The meaning that came with this life meant a lot to her, she just hoped that Russetswirl would be able to use the life wisely. "Don't forget, there may be times where you need forgiveness to", Crimsontiger said. Then she gave one final dip of her head before walking back to take her place among the starry pelted ancestors. |

Once the other cat had stepped back she knew it was her turn. It was with a heavy hard that she would present this life, she would present a life that ruined hers. If only she'd received what this new leader was, maybe she wouldn't be sitting in Starclan regretting many of her actions. The long-furred calico stepped forward, her body shimmering. Her olive eyes were kind and open, nothing like they were back when she'd spent her time with the living in Riverclan. It made her look younger in many ways. "Russetswirl, I will present you with a life of clear-mindedness. Use it to keep devastation and sorrow from taking control of your life. Live freely and judge as little as possible." She touched her nose to his forehead, then stepped back and paused for a moment. Her eyes were filled with a bittersweet feeling. It was her kits that had risen to the height of the evil era that reigned the forest, her fault for having blamed them at a young age of terribly things. It was her fault in her heart that it had happened at all. "You'll make a great leader, believe in yourself." She whispered softly, then the calico molly stepped back again, letting him take in her words, the life and move to his last. |

@fenic!
After Wateredge has stepped back, a dark grey tabby then stepped up to take her place and give Russetswirl a life. He hadn't been in Starclan long and was nervous about giving a leader one of their lives. He had watched the other cats as they had offered the newer leader a life, but they had seemed to confident - like they deserved to give Russetswirl a life. But he had only been here for a short time and even then he didn't know their cat before him. But nonetheless, he held his head high and watched Russetswirl with an - almost - unwavering autumn gaze. He had went over what he would say countless times since being informed that he would be giving a life to a new leader so he could to get it right. He didn't wish to mess anything up,not only to keep from embarrassing himself, but what if it also affected the life given? "Russetswirl," Northpath's voice was hardly even shaking as he took a deep breath to continue. "I am Northpath of Thunderclan, though we have never officially met," the tabby introduced himself before continuing on to give him a life. Will he think it's strange that he doesn't know some of these cats that are giving him lives? The former medicine cat apprentice wondered. "With this life, I give yo the gift of Confidence." "Use to this to make decision for the best of the clan. Sometimes making decisions can be hard and there may not seem like a right way, but you must be confident in yourself and stand by your decision, because that's when you'll know if it was the right call. Starclan can't hold your paw through you leadership - though we will try to assist when we are needed - so you can not expect us to just show up and solve something that you are having trouble with.That is all on you," Northpath offered a small smile. The younger tom knew what it was like to not have Starclan there but he hoped the same wouldn't happen to Russetswirl... or ever for that matter. He gently placed his nose on Russetswirl's forehead, having to go on the tips of his paws and stretch out his next to do so. "But note: being confident if different than being cocky - cocky decisions will endanger both you and your clan," Northpath warned as he stepped back among the other stars. |

Letting himself pad just a bit closer towards Northpath, the warrior's body felt like a volcano as he was given his eighth life, erupting with the feeling of pride in both himself and his clan, the feeling that he'd be able to do anything, and that he believed in himself and others with all his heart. It was confidence, the ability to be happy about yourself in the choices you make, and having faith that they're the right thing to do. It's the feeling you get as you rush into battle, sure that you're about to win against whoever you're facing, that you'll be able to come out alive. It reminded him of when he was younger, when he had faith in every single action he took, and when he brought confidence to the table during every patrol, every battle he fought in, tooth and claw. "I'll use it well." He told Nothpath as the tom began to step back, smiling with the same boost of confidence given by that life. |
Re: The Starcave
Although his turn had passed, the sight of the former medicine cat apprentice roused an old curiosity in the faded spirit. "Who let him in here..?" Aconiteheart murmured, unapproving of the tom that blatantly and senselessly violated the code he swore to uphold. Giving a life to a leader was a privilege, not a right, and allowing one who couldn't have a lick of self control to guide the future leader seemed detrimental in the long run. "I didn't know we allowed those that redundantly broke the code to participate in a leader ceremony."

Re: The Starcave
(AH! I'm so sorry! I completely forgot T.T)
Royalwatcher stepped up last, moving forward to take Northpath's place in front of Russetswirl. He offered a small smile to the deceased ThunderClan medicine cat as he passed, almost as if to say that he did a fine job of giving the life. The orange tabby then met Russetswirl's gaze steadily. "You don't know me, but I am Royalwatcher. I died a long time ago, in the beginning of the first evil era. I watched from here as the clans recovered from the first reign; it was a hard journey, but they made it, and, under your leadership, I know your clan will recover this time as well." He cleared his throat, and then spoke the ancient words. "With this life I give you resilience. Use it to help your clan recover from these hard times, and any more that happen along your path." He leaned forward and touched his nose to the other tom's forehead before slowly stepping back and disappearing into the mist. (I have no idea if I'm suppose to do the naming thing too since I'm last? I'm gonna leave it like this just in case you had other plans.) |

He jumped in a puddle on anger, splattering it's silky clear surface all over the walls.

Halestorm entered the cave, her green eyes wandering the darkness that surrounded her. She took a deep breath, stepping further and further into the depths. The future ShadowClan leader finally arrived at the crystal that shone dimly in the faint light seeping in from the cracks of the cave.
Ocean waves splashed along the side of the crevasses dug into cave from what felt like forever of torment from salt water. She closed her eyes and sat down at the crystal, looking at it in awe. Halestorm could share this special moment with her warrior ancestors. She bent down and touched her nose to the crystal, loosing all consciousness before awaking in a place she had only dreamed of. Halestorm looked around and saw nine cats stepping down from Silverpelt, her eyes wide. Halestar. There was about to become a new leader of Shadowclan, and Crimsonpaw was a bit overwhelmed with the thought that she'd be able to give a life. She was generally blunt and even rude towards others, but this was certainly something that she would be proud of- giving a leader one of their lives was an honor, really. Taking a deep breath, her dark russet pelt glittered with starlight as she stepped out into the landscape, looking towards the future leader with bright eyes. "Hello, Halestar- welcome to Starclan. My name is Crimsonpaw, and in my past life, I was known for being blunt and honest- to judge others harshly." She was making herself seem bad, but she didn't really care- the molly was happy that she'd be able to give a life, and didn't mind that it was of a trait some cats called flawed. "Of course, being too harsh and up-front is something which can be quite toxic, but the idea of judgement is a value that needs to stick with you through leadership- okay?" Walking up to touch the deputy's nose quietly, she had to stand on her tip-toes in order to reach the tabby's face, grinning as she faced the leader. "With this, I give you the life of judgement. Use it with honor, and don't hesitate to rethink your stances on allies and enemies alike." And as soon as she gave the life, a rush of energy flew through her body- and it was over. Stepping down from her position, the apprentice took a step back before padding away, smiling towards the living cat as she took her place back in the sea of stars- awaiting the next life to be given. |

Clearsight approached Halestar calmly. She looked over Halestar slightly before staring into Halestar's eyes. "Hello, Halestar. I am Clearsight, though you wouldn't know me, I was once know for walking through life blindly, not thinking of the consequences." She meowed. "The gift of clear sight is one that should stick with you always- whether you are leader of ShadowClan or not." She grew closer to Halestar until they were she was a mouse-length away. "With this life, I give you clear sight through life and whatever may follow." She touched her nose to Halestar's and pulled away a few moments later. She dipped her head to Halestar and turned away to go join the others in the territories of StarClan. |

Ivymask padded twords the new leader, nothing but honor and respect gleamed in his blue hues, his paws tingled wit his excitement knowing that he was helping his clan, even in his after life "You may not remember me, we only crossed paths once or twice,but my name is Ivymask." he stated, a soft smile plastered on his face, he took one step closer to the molly so they were only a mouse length apart "Some consider the Truth an awful thing, hurting others in it wake, but it is more than that, as I am sure you will find out as you lead. The pain of Truth will only last a moment, but the wisdom and experience it gives you will last a life's time, use that experience to lead Shadowclan forward." he said gently, he lifted his head slightly to touch noses with the new leader, "With this life I give you Truth, never be dishonest with your clan, for the truth will always prevail." he said, pulling back a few moments later, he dipped his head and gave her one last smile before he turned to go join his comerads, joy blossomed in his heart, happy for the fact he was able to help his clan, that he was able to give it a little push forward, even if it was a little push, it meant the world to the Siamese. |
