Songkit padded into the den. The den was empty of any cat. She felt like she was stepping into a forgotten place. Sitting the white brown tabby waited for the other she kit.

Sandykit padded into the den, glancing around. Were they allowed in here? She didn't know, but Songkit seemed comfortable enough, so she went to sit next to her friend. "What den is this?" She asked, scenting the air.

"This is the elder den. I don't know if SkyClan has any elders but it smells like no one has been in here for moons.", Songkit looked at Sandykit,"I was in the territory before I came to camp. I went near the border and sat thinking."

Sandykit blinked. "You go into the territory a lot, then?" She asked Songkit. "But why the border? Wouldn't it be more scary there?" The young she-kit had been nervous enough out of camp, but found comfort in the fact that most dangers would probably avoid Skyclan territory- but what if something dangerous had been near the border when Songkit was there? She shuddered, imagining her friend leaving and disappearing.

Songkit rolled her eyes,"I haven't seen anything scary yet. But...",she shook herself,"This is hard for me to say. I-I'm thinking of leaving SkyClan. Now hear me out! I know I'm not suppose to be in the territory since I'm a kit but I'm six moons now. I'm draw to the border. I want to go beyond it. The other cats are gone fighting the clans.",she paused,"I'm sorry if I made you sad Sandykit but I made up my mind."

Sandykit grew wide eyed. "I-," She swallowed, preventing herself from voicing her thoughts. Don't go! You can't leave, you've barely even gotten to see the clan yet! We could have trained together, been warriors together! "I'll miss you," she meowed instead. If Songkit wanted to leave, then Sandykit wouldn't keep her from it. "Where are you going to go? Perhaps I could visit, once I'm an apprentice?" She asked hopefully.

"I'm not leaving yet mouse brain!", Songkit laughed,"I haven't decided when to leave yet. Or where I'm going to go. I'm thinking of waiting for the other cats to come back from the clans. Maybe I'll leave early." She placed her tail on Sandykit's shoulder,"I'll tell you when I leave. Also don't tell anyone else. Especially the other kits."

Sandykit nodded, leaning over to bump Songkit's shoulder with her head. "I'll still miss you, though," she sighed. "I promise not to tell. When you do go, and you find a place to stay, come back and tell me. We'll figure out a way to meet... Perhaps every day after you leave, I'll go out and stand by the border until the moon reaches it's highest, and you'll just have to come before then to tell me? If you think leaving will free you from me, then you're mistaken!" She joked. The first friend I've ever made, and she's gonna be leaving.

"I will Sandykit. I'll tell you all about the place I find. Maybe I'll bring a cat if I find any!",she purred before walking to the entrance,"Let's go back to the clearing. I don't want Whiskerfur made at me for stealing you!" Songkit ran into the clearing passing some cats.
