Snowfall waited for Blizzardfoot's opinion before answering. "I agree that the most comfortable weather in Greenleaf is at nightfall, but I favor Newleaf more than Greenleaf, actually," she replied, swiping her tongue over her paw and drawing it over her ear, "It is a time of hope and new life, plus prey is plentiful during that time as well." The ThunderClan warrior was happy that Blizzardfoot broke the awkward silence; the she-cat was not good at breaking them herself. "Hey, would you like to be friends?" She suddenly asked. She would make a fine comrade, she thought.

[sorry for a late reply]

Blizzardfoot nodded; Newleaf was much more preferable than Greenleaf. During that time period, she didn't have to worry about the scorching heat. And her pelt would stay nice and cool.

Friends? she thought next, flicking her tail in anticipation. Her mouth curled up into a small grin. "Of course I'd like to be friends with you!" The white-pelted she-cat purred in agreement. Who would ever decline a request like that, anyways?

The SkyClan deputy awaited his response patiently and took the time to think about the moments before. When she was talking, he hadn’t been looking at her. Rather, he had been looking at the leaders perched on the large rock. Normally, Auroraflame would be angered quite easily when it came to rude actions, but strangely enough, the she-cat didn’t consider lack of eye contact rude. Not only that, but there was some sort of strange aura around this tom that made her even less likely to frown. It was as if something was bothering him. Was it her? Was she making him feel uncomfortable? Or was it something else? Auroraflame hated making cats uncomfortable. It always made the atmosphere more awkward and she hated having a conversation, unless she was confronting someone about something. Although she didn’t normally do that. As he replied, the ebony she-cat gave him a warm smile in return for his small one. If it really was her that was making him uncomfortable, then she was going to try to be as friendly as possible. But she wouldn’t try to hard, or she might become too overwhelming to deal with. As he spoke again, Auroraflame’s icy orbs lit up in surprise. She certainly hadn’t been expecting those words to come out of his mouth, but maybe she had been a bit too obvious. She was normally alright when it came to hiding her curiosity, but this time it had just been too hard. “Oh gosh….” Auroraflame trailed, eyes wide with horror. Of all reasons to resign, it had to be that one. “I hope she’s okay,” the deputy murmured quietly, eyes lowering to the ground briefly before she looked up again. The inky she-cat was very doubtful that Blackgaze was alright, but she should at least hope that the former deputy was handling the injury. “Sorry. I didn’t want to ask in case you didn’t wish to share the news,” Auroraflame said with an apologetic look in her icy gaze. Despite the situation, the she-cat couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle at his words. “Don’t worry, I don’t stalk others,” Auroraflame said, eyes lighting up in amusement. Noticing the way that his shoulders hunched and his head lowered, the amusement quickly vanished. “Are you okay? You seem….uncomfortable,” She said hesitantly. Maybe she should’ve just ignored it and pretended that everything was alright, but it wasn’t alright. She was going to find out what was bothering him and if it was her, she would just give up on socialising with the other deputies and find someone else to talk to.

The black warrior could practically taste the surprise coming from the deputy, he had a feeling she wasn't actually expecting him to tell her, not that they had anything to hide. He wrapped his tail around his paws and turned his blue gaze back to the leaders for a moment before it was focused back upon Auroraflame. "She's fine, she's practically living in the Medicine cat's den now, her and Geckoleaf are the best of buds." he reassured, amusement flashing across his face for a moment. He liked that she was so worried about another clans deputy, it reassured him for a moment, and then he heard one of the leaders speaking with another, and all of that reassurement plummeted. He narrowed his eyes and pined his ears to the back of his head, but only for a second before his attention was given back to the other black deputy as she spoke, deciding that it would be best to make eye contact with the other since his little...episode had passed. Fallenstream let out a snicker "Oh good, cuz for a second there he had thought you were, you seem to be a pro after all." he stated, a smirk evident on her maw. He tried his hardest to speak to her as though she as a normal clan cat, that she wasn't a deputy, that she wasn't a senior, high rank warrior. It ate away at him, the fact that he himself was one as well, the very thing he had come to hate, something his father strove to be. It made his stomach churn, which in turn caused him to dig his claws into the dirt. Upon the molly's question he turned his lapis orbs forward and one again pinned his ears to the sides of his head, he didn't want to answer that, he really didn't want to give himself away about his beliefs on....everything, or what he believed his thoughts about higher ups were. "Auroraflame...what's the first part of your name mean? I don't think I've ever heard it." he asked, trying to doge the question.

Honestly, the deputy didn’t normally care for the reasons behind a deputy or leader’s resignation however Blackgaze’s had her particularly curious. Perhaps it was because she’d had a lot of respect for the inky she-cat. To be blind and to be deputy wasn’t easy and Auroraflame respected her for it. "I’m glad to hear of it,” the ebony she-cat purred, whiskers twitching in amusement. The deputy didn’t care for things like things like this, because it was none of her business if she didn’t belong to the clan, but she was curious enough to let it show through. The she-cat was very complicated. Everyone mistook her for a cat that cared for every living being, and she did care for a lot of cats, but she didn’t care for everyone. There were a lot of things that no one but herself knew. Auroraflame studied the tom’s face as his expression changed to an expression of reassurement for a moment, however that quickly ended when one of the leaders spoke to another. Was that it? Was that why he seemed so uncomfortable? The leaders? If it was true, then that would certainly be rather weird thing to be uncomfortable about, considering he himself was a deputy. "I’m not surprised, I am a pro at everything. I simply find no joy in stalking others,” Auroraflame joked, a teasing look in her eyes. It was always nice to let go of everything for a bit and joke around with others. Being the deputy, she often had to act in a very responsible manner and be a good role model to others, but when she wasn’t attending to duties then she would stop and be the silly cat she really was.
The response that the black furred tom cat gave wasn’t much of a surprise to her. She hadn’t been expecting exactly that question, but she had been expecting something to avoid the question in case he really didn’t want to ask. She didn’t press him any further but she kept the thought at the back of mind. She would try squeeze some answers out of him later and see if her theory was correct, but for now she would leave him in peace. "Well an aurora is a set of beautiful lights in the sky. It only happens quite rarely. And it’s another word for dawn I guess you could say,” Auroraflame responded. "I was named for the way my eyes stand out against my fur. Like the lights against the night,” She continued, smiling at the words. "What about you? What’s the reasoning behind your name?” She asked, tilting her head to the side ever so slightly.

@Bad Wolf

Guardianheart wasn't easily distracted, but it was the gathering, and he had to know if Brindlefawn was there. The ShadowClan tom trekked through the crowd of cats, his grey and black pelt appearing silver in the moonlight. He finally picked up the scent of RiverClan and looked around at all the RiverClan cats. Where's Brindlefawn? I wonder if she can scent me. thought Guardianheart, sitting down, hoping she'd find him.

Brindlefawn was standing with her head raised, nose angled upwards as she took in the scents that threatened to overwhelm her senses, but it was worth it to know of Guardianheart was there, and to know how he was, since she and him hadn't spoken in longer than she would've liked. After all, this was her mate, and she loved him dearly. The two had been close since the day they'd met, and their friendship had over time blossomed into love, and now they were nates, secretly, of course. Then she caught his scent, and being careful not to trip on anyone, she wove her way blindly through the crowd, until she accidentally tripped over somebody, then breathed in the family ShadowClan tom's scent and knew who it was. “Gaurdianheart!” the RiverClan warrior exclaimed, staring blindly at where she thought he was.
