Lost in History [p]
[Blazingstar]
It was time. After all this time, there was something worth dream walking for. Prairiespark had requested. . . no, she had demanded the former leader to escort a certain warrior to her. To explain and reconnect. To inform this cat of her bloodline and bring closure to her questions and wonders. Blazingstar was no stranger to his kin -- provided they accepted him Lionstar. He still wondered if they could've bonded, but the time had come and gone. He was certain he destroyed any chance of that with the chaos he brought with his leadership. He tried to be there for his kin and kittens, although his last litter didn't get the chance. Prairiespark had sought him out many times in attempt to have the lost father-daughter relationship. Now that she was here, it was easier for them to connect. A blessing he didn't know he needed. So, he understood the importance of this meeting. It hit him on a personal level and he respected the queen for wanting this to happen. He'd make it happen. Anyways. . . That wasn't important right now. Blazingstar stood in one of the meadows StarClan had. His eyes shut as he pictured and summoned the WindClanner to StarClan. He waited. Only opening his golden eyes when her scent would take over his senses and she'd begin to appear before him. Then that notable grin would appear on his face as he'd greet her. "Greetings Firestorm." @Dark |

Blazingstar simply swished his tail behind him, almost as if he were waving a hello as the warrior processed where she was. It gave him a moment to really study her, and damn, did she look just like her mother. There was no mistaking the fluffy orange cat bloodline. It almost made him chuckle, but she'd understand his silent snickers soon.
"Come take small walk with me, we have a lot of StarClan to cover and very little time. You only sleep for so long, y'know. Plus this surprise I have for you might bite me if I fail his mission!" Blazingstar gestured with his long tail for her to follow. He didn't wait, just started padding away. He almost seemed to have a skip to his pace as he led the she-cat towards her surprise. Oh! She asked a question, that was right. "I'm Blazingstar," He introduced himself at last, continuing to half-skip along. "You can call me grandpa though," Blazingstar turned to look at her, giving a side grin. He wanted to see her reaction to that statement, enough so that he slowed his pace to study her. @Dark |

A hearty laugh escaped his maw at her reaction. He could see how this was super cool to her. It wasn't every day that cats got visited by a clan leader. Most of them were pretty idle in StarClan, it was kind of disappointing.
The questions rolled off her tongue like they were nothing. There was no doubt in his mind this feline was related to him. In his younger days, he was almost the same exact way. It made them more lovable, right?! Right. He agreed silently with his thought then continued skipping along. The rambling finally halted long enough that Blazingstar could get his voice in. "It wouldn't be a surprise if I told you what it was, right? That defeats the purpose. You'll know when we get there," Blazingstar explained, nothing but amusement laced his tone. "Little fun fact, my warrior name was Blazingstorm. I guess the -storm suffix runs in the family, eh?" He chuckled to himself. His ears twitched at the comment about being a leader. Oh? He shot Firestorm a side glance, slowing his pace a little. "Being leader is a lot of work. Came with it's perks, but there were lots of downfalls too. I was glad to bring a happy light to WindClan in my days. Different from the serious tone most of these leaders bring to the table. Everyone needs some fun in their life!" He explained pretty vaguely. He couldn't speak on the expectations from the leaders now. His pace increased, coming up over a hill. Then he halted, staring downwards. At the base of the hill, a fiery spirit sat, overlooking a sparkling lake. A smile crossed his face as he gazed on the she-cat. Blazingstar turned to look at Firestorm. "We're almost there, that cat down there is your surprise. I hope you recognize her soon. . ." Blazingstar trailed off before starting down the hill towards her. @Dark |

Blazingstar was listening light heartedly to what Firestorm was saying, but quickly noticed how distracted she suddenly was. The former leader stopped in his tracks as Firestorm dashed down the starry slope. His eyes softened at the sight. He understood how nice it was to see former family members. He thought he was alone until his daughter made an appearance again. Now, it was their turn.
--- Prairiespark had been waiting a long time for this moment. It had to be perfect. Her father didn't let her down this time! He went out of his way to make this so perfect for them and she was so grateful. He'd been the one to suggest reaching out to her kittens again. For once, Prairiespark had swallowed her pride and listened. She didn't regret it and prayed she wouldn't regret it. When she heard their pawsteps on the hill, she knew it was time. She was nearly trembling with excitement and anxiety. The emotions had been building up in her stomach the entire time. She could vomit if given the chance to, but she willed herself forward. Her head would turn to see the sight of Firestorm stumbling down the hill. Her green eyes lit up with so much affection. Quick to her paws, the former queen welcomed the other she-cat with open paws. She didn't care if they tumbled backwards. She wrapped her forelegs around Firestorm tightly, landing lick after lick on the she-cats ears and face. A loud purr rumbled from her chest, a noise loud enough to echo across the starry moors. "HI DARLING!" The she-cat nearly squealed out. "I've missed you so much, too, you have no idea!" Prairiespark nearly sobbed out, tears threatening to spill over her cheeks. "I'm so proud of you, too! So so proud!" the queen squeezed Firestorm closer, if that was physically possible. All that anxiety she was feeling was gone now. She couldn't hold her affection back. She simply treasured this time. She could feel Blazingstar's eyes on them and she only hoped he understood just how grateful she was her father was able and willing to do this. Now, if only they could've made this moment last forever, but alas, Prairiespark knew their time would come to an end sooner than they wanted. @Dark |
