daydream had had enough. they are at a breaking point. they had suffered so much loss in their life and they are tired of letting it all happen infront of their eyes. they had lost countless patients, their best friend,cricketpaw, and their adoptive mother, geckoleaf. because of this, they will be going on a search for gecko since she was announced missing after the battle at the gathering. they will be taking [escort] with them on this journey. they dont say where they are going or what they are doing, but they know they cant go out alone. not with the syndicate on the loose. they talk with [escort] that they need to go on a trip, thatll only take a day or two.

so [escort] and daypaw are off now. they go beyond the territories and such, and this is when daydream confesses what they are doing. they tell them that they are going to be attempting to find geckoleaf and bring her home, and that theyll go back to shadowclan by sundown. things dont turn out this way. while searching and tracking, [escort] and daydream get attacked by [outsider 1]. while daydream and [escort] both have a great amount of warrior training, some how, they are no match for this cat. {IF YOU HAVE READ THIS FAR, THE CODE IS ¨DUBS¨} because of this [outsider 1] threatens them and says if they dont come with them, they will be killed. they have no choice. following, they are eventually lead to a large barn with many cat scents in the air. once inside countless cats are there, dim lights and countless places to sleep. in the middle of the barn are to cats fighting, with other cats surrounding them chanting. its a cat fighting ring. [outsider 1] claims that they are doing this to train and be stronger, but daydream sees it as pure abuse. time passes and [outsider 1] says its daydreams turn in the ring. despite many pleas of the word no, day is shoved into the ring and in a shorten phrase: had their ass beat.

after the battle they are bloody and losing life fast, and [escort] leads them to a private part of the barn to attempt to tend to them. it wasn't so private, seeing as [outsider 2] had found them. though they are nicer and pity daydream and [escort], and eventually shows them a way to escape from the barn.

it is now sundown and very cold and dark. it is obvious that they cant travel in this, so [escort] and daydream settle down for the night by finding an old fox hole to sleep in. its only then that daydream breaks down, mentioning how they failed geckoleaf by not finding her, how they couldve kept looking, how theyll never give up looking, and so on. they break down. they couldnt find the one thing that meant the most to them. [escort] comforts them with reassurance.

so there it is !! i know at the moment the sidebar says day is still a paw, but they are currently having their ceremony ! so by the time this plot takes place, theyll be a full medcat.
