Crashed
@ScarredSecrets @Green mage @SolarWarrior @Rubinaito if you want to apply do so in this thread This is the thread for my D&D style roleplay 'Crashed.' I will ask a question you will talk among yourselves on what you decided to do. I recommend a group PM, but if that is not able you can talk on this thread. Then you will roll a twenty sided dice then report the number to me and I will tell you what happens next. So without any further ado, here is Crashed. (_=+=_) (small recap) you board a plane to go see family. you are wearing casual city clothes, suits, street shoes, overcoats, and pantsuits. you are flying over a thick woods broken by many lakes and rivers. it’s very cold outside, down to minus forty degrees at night. you have flown far from the nearest habitation, about 80 miles. the pilot tried to radio for help, but no one answered. you are flying off course to avoid a storm and you hit turbulence. you have just crash landed in the woods of northern minnesota. it is 11:32 am in mid january. the items you have crashed with are as follows; first aid kit two cigarette lighters seven newspapers two ski poles an air map made of plastic a chocolate bar a quart of 85-proof whiskey three cans of shortening a ball of steel wool a loaded .45-caliber pistol four compasses two knifes 40 feet of rope five flashlights extra shirt and Pants for each survivor Using a compass that you have salvaged and the map you found, your group has decided to go east towards the nearest civilization. You come across a stream. What will you do? |
Re: Crashed
James knelt down by the bank, testing the water with a hand. As expected, it was freezing cold; wading across would only serve to cause hypothermia, and maybe even death. Doing his best to dry his hand and warm himself back up again, he looked at the group of much younger teenagers. Being almost 35 among a group of young adults and teenagers made him slightly uneasy- he was used to much younger kids that didn't have to worry about hormones and such. He cleared his throat. "Water's running too fast and it's too cold to cross without health risks." He announced, scratching the back of his neck. "I plan on making sure you all are safe and healthy when we find a town. I'm not going to take any risks here." He rolled his shoulders back. "I suggest we head downriver for a little while, see if the river narrows down into a stream or enters a lake." He stuffed his hands in his pockets, wishing that they had the tools to make a bridge with. A simple log bridge would have been great at this time.

@Rubinaito
Sherlyn seemed a bit uneasy about this. She had a pretty bad cut under her right arm from the crash and being told what to do by a adult she didn't even know just made things worse. She didn't seem to have a better idea so all she did was look down and nod slightly. "Then what?" She asked sounding way more angry than she intended. |
Re: Crashed
You have rolled a six. Your groups heads downstream and tries to find a bridge of some sort. All you find is a few stocks floating in the river and a dread that you all will die walking along this river. -- Time: 12:05 pm Temperature: 32 degrees Fahrenheit Miles to next town: 78 miles Supplies used: - Deaths: - Run-ins with wildlife: - Would you like to stop and rest? [ ] Would you like to use an item? [ ] -- (IMPORTANT- this is my first rp like this, so I'm still figuring things out. The format above will be on all of my posts, and the group leader will awnser the questions. You may vote who this person will be or you can just let me decide.I hope you are enjoying so far! Also, remember this is a d&d style rp, so it isn't normal roleplaying, it a little differant.) |

Re: Crashed
would you to stop and look for wood to be used as a raft or keep walking along the bank? |
Re: Crashed
I would keep walking. Eventually there has to be some place to cross over: preferably if it narrows down to a stream. The raft might sink and leave people with hypothermia.

Re: Crashed
You have rolled a ten. Your groups continues downstream. You find a group of logs that look like they were part of a never dam. They don't look very stable, but you might be able to cross to the next side. -- Time: 12:13 pm Temperature: 33 degrees Fahrenheit Miles to next town: 78 miles Supplies used: - Deaths: - Run-ins with wildlife: - Would you like to stop and rest? [ ] Would you like to use an item? [ ] |
Re: Crashed
Stop and rest is a waste of time (and for the weak!!). Should we use an item? I mean we have 40 feet of rope but then again the logs might not be very stable.. Maybe someone can use a ski pole to test it? (Like poke it or something?)

Are you in agreement to test the dam before crossing using the [rope]? |

Re: Crashed
You have rolled a sixteen. Your group decides to test the dam with a rope. You lasso a few branches and pull, nothing comes loose. The dam seems to be stable enough to hold at least a few pounds. -- Time: 12:16 pm Temperature: 33 degrees Fahrenheit Miles to next town: 78 miles Supplies used: - Deaths: - Run-ins with wildlife: - Would you like to stop and rest? [ ] Would you like to use an item? [ ] |

Re: Crashed
You have rolled a eight. Your group decides to use the dam as a bridge and is the rope to pull someone out if that fall into the river. The first few people cross without any problems, but the second to last person fell in. You were able to get them out, but the rope starts to float down stream. The person behind them in line cuts the rope, but now it is only 27 feet long. [rope is now 27 feet] [Sherlyn Hernandez ( @SolarWarrior ) has fallen in the river. At almost freezing, it is possible to gain hypothermia. You may choose to use items to sure this infliction.] -- Time: 12:26 pm Temperature: 33 degrees Fahrenheit Miles to next town: 78 miles Supplies used: 13 feet of rope. Deaths: - Run-ins with wildlife: - Would you like to stop and rest? [ ] Would you like to use an item? [ ] |
Re: Crashed
Sherlyn shivered and glared at the others before muttering,"This was a bad idea." In a serious tone.
(I think we should use the pair of clothes or maybe the first aid kit so she doesn't die of Hypothermia.) |
Re: Crashed
are you in agreement to use the [first aid kit] and the [extra pair of clothes]? |
