Badgerdawn admired the willows. She didnt understand why the other cats thought they were intimidating. To her, they were beautiful

Re: Whispering Wetlands
Another day NightWolf spent his time training and hunting in the whispering wetlands, with everyday he canfeel himself get stronger and faster, the only thing he can hope for now is a worthy challenge. Many times a day does he wish he could encounter that fox again, the one whose eye he had taken. He nearly died that day, but now.. now he feels like he could take on that fox and finish their fight. |

Re: Whispering Wetlands
Whispering Wetlands. The border with Windclan, one Shrewstep remembered crossing himself several times. With Marigoldpaw, to see that loud Windclan rat who called him small. To attack them, multiple times. Once in a battle patrol with Rookscreech, before he had failed her and she had gone missing. Though nominally their allies now as both clans grew distrustful of the volatile Thunderclan and Riverclan, Shrewstep would probably prefer to be at any other border than this one. Especially with the news of the minks about. Fortunately as he arrived at the border, nose well in the air because if ANYTHING was around he wanted to know, no sinusoidal little buggers came flying at them. Their scent was clearly still in the air, as was that of Windclan, but any and all goings on seemed confined to the other side of the border. That was how they liked it. With a soft Shall we separate and get this done? to Palesong and Cornpuff, Shrewstep began marking the border. Best to get this over with and then head back home. @starry @RoboPrism

"All of these patrols and I get stuck on the one with high stakes for being lazy, like I haven't completed every one I've been given." He puffed in mixed feelings, while following with a mutter as he trotted away to do his part. "And I'm somehow put with a grump each time." @starry |

Re: Whispering Wetlands
Well, Cornpuff's muttering about grumps aside, things seemed to be going rather smoothly. This, if Shrewstep had bothered to use his brain for once, would have seemed somewhat suspicious. But, fortunately for this individual who wasn't the most aware, there really wasn't anything going on. Just staleish mink scent, and the Windclan border markers alongside theirs. The lack of actual danger allowed him to call out in response to Cornpuff I won't be a grump unless I have to! which, somewhat ironically, sounded rather grumpy. Oh well. Shrewstep was something of a master of hypocrisy if he did say so himself, and saw no reason to stop being vaguely annoying now. What they did have to do was head back, seeing as there was.....very little to see. Let's head back, the only thing I see of mention is the mink scent. was his call, just in case anyone else had something to add, or thought the mink thing wasn't worth reporting or whatever. So they were all...synced up for their reports and whatnot. Somehow he imagined their tyrant would want them all there to certify the thing had been done. @RoboPrism @starry
