Roleplay Etiquette Notice

Hello everyone! I'd like to make a brief but important announcement on behalf of the WCO Staff Team. Recently, we have encountered many instances of broken roleplay etiquette. This includes, but is not limited to, disregarding posing turn order without communication and entering private roleplays which you are not a part of. We encourage users to report these posts if you see any instances of these, and staff will take care of it accordingly.

To deal with this issue specifically, staff has decided to implement a 3-strike system. If you are found to have broken this roleplay etiquette, your post will be deleted if needed, and you will be messaged by a member of the staff team. If this happens another time, you will receive another warning message. However, if the behavior continues, you will receive an infaction. Any further incidents will also result in infractions.

The only users who may enter private roleplays without permissions are high ranks, and this should only be done in cases of rule breaking, endangering the clan, or other emergencies that need the high ranking character's direct attention. Otherwise, there should be no jumping into private roleplays.

If you have questions about roleplay etiquette, please don't hesitate to ask a staff member, post in the [site assistance] forum, or even [submit a support ticket]! You may also ask question in this thread as needed! (:

Thank you all very much for your time and understanding! :heartbounce:

What would be the policy for time-sensitive roleplays such as patrols or events? Is a bump required a certain amount of time in advance before skipping, when would skipping be appropriate, etc?

An infraction is an official notice/record that you have violated WCO's Community Guidelines. This notice is added to your profile, but only staff members can see your infraction record. These come into play when selecting high ranks or new staff members, as a number of infractions indicates that a person is not the best role model for members.

The high rank selection procedures describes this as follows:
Quote:

Previous Infractions - minor infractions are not relayed to the high rank, but major ones (e.g. flaming, multi-accounting, posting non-PG content, or if you have 5+ total gained within the last six months) are mentioned and presumably will be factored into the high rank’s decision.
In order to maintain a good status on WCO, try to avoid getting infractions if possible. One or two is nothing to panic about, if it's an honest mistake. To help keep the number of infractions you earn to a minimum, please read and abide by the community guidelines often.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions :heartbounce:

As a general rule of thumb, 24 hours is acceptable. If that occurs, the courteous thing to do would be to send the user a message letting them know their turn has been skipped due to inactivity, though this is not required.

Hey there! This isn't quite the place for role-playing, but if you're looking to jump in, you can submit a character to one of the Clans here and check out our Open Roleplays section and any of our Roleplay Resources :heartbounce:
