Snowstar fluffed his thick fur against a sudden blast of cold air. Leaf-bare was ending. He sighed, wishing it would last longer. His thick fur was no use in the warmer months. He padded further into into the clearing and took a deep breath of the fresh mountain air. It was beautiful.

Mistycloud padded over to join him "It's beautiful, right, the mountain air?" she meowed calmly

Snowstar looked to Mistycloud and nodded, It is. I wish it would stay this cold year round. The heat makes the air sticky and, well, hot. he said in his gruff yet friendly voice. He sat on the rough stone ground of the clearing.

In the nursery fawnkit mewled and stretched before curling back up into her mother. her mother was warm, really warm in fact, fawnkit liked the warmth and squealed happily.

Ruffledpelt woke to her kit's delighted squeal. She looke at her and purred, licking th young kitten's head. She loved this little squeaker with all her heart. She'd die for this kit.

fawkits whole body rumbled with her purr as she looked up and squeaked a soft "hello" to her mother. As she sneezed she tipped over the force knocking her over.

Ruffledpelt laighed softly, helping her kit back on her paws. Well, that was a big sneeze. You okay, hun? she asked. Her light brown fur was slightly pricked, as usual, hence her name.
