Backseat Moderation Notice
Hello lovely members of WCO!
Recently, the staff team has noticed an increase in messages sent between members correcting each other on perceived rule violations. This can be anything from notifying another user that they are powerplaying to telling someone not to swear, and everything in between. Contacting any other member regarding rule violations is backseat moderation. WCO highly discourages backseat moderation. Instead of reaching out to another member, if you see a post that you think violates our guidelines, please report it so that the staff team can handle it. Backseat moderation will not be allowed, and any instances of this will result in a message from the staff team. While we do appreciate that you all are trying to help, it is much easier for the staff team for you to simply report a post. The way that you do this is by clicking the triangle in the top right corner of a post! It should look like this: http://warriorcatsonline.com/forums/...ons/report.gif As of today, December 2, 2022, the staff team will be much less lenient when it comes to backseat moderation. Please, follow the instructions above to avoid unnecessary trouble. Thank you all, and have a fantastic day! :heartbounce: |
Re: Backseat Moderation Notice
What about if there are no staff in the cbox and someone breaks guidelines?

// @Jinx. @EmberSandstorm
this wasn't created in response to one person in particular, but rather just a general influx of these types of situations! |
Re: Backseat Moderation Notice
What if the person says anything hurtful? Is it the same rules? Or are we allowed to inform them??? Best of luck!!! @vellichor

Re: Backseat Moderation Notice
@vellichor Just wondering, is it considered backseat moderation if I answer a question for somebody in the site assistance? I just like doing it- and oop. Might get in trouble for that
