It was quite the hike up, the calico queen had struggled all the way to the sea stones, avoiding patrols and borders just to get here. Just to see crimson. It was risky coming here pregnant, and so close to birthing too but she couldn’t stand being alive for much longer. The isolation and depressed state of the clan was hard enough to face, especially when she was so emotional already. She awkwardly lumbered towards the makeshift camp, an odd sort of sour scent wafting from the walled up camp. Stumbling forward she found a spot by a nearby tree in a simple attempt for cover, just to regain her breath before she could find a way in. “He’s in there someone, you just got to think riversong, just think” she collapsed between the twisted roots of the beech tree, panting from the export. Conceiving possible ways to get in without being spotted, without risking her health. But few things came to mind and daylight was running out, she couldn’t make it back to camp by herself. Not in the dark. Than the sound of pawsteps got her attention, briefly snapping out of her thoughts to look up and prepare herself to be faced with some grumpy feline. She’d need an excuse, any would do. Just think river just think! |

Crimsonlions eyes widened at the site of his mate a few steps away. "Riversong?!" He called out as made his way closer to her. What was she doing here? She made her way all the up here just to see him? His mind swarmed with questions as he made his way towards her. @jupiter |

It was than that crimson showed up, padding hurriedly toward her, worry written over his features as clear as day. “Crimsonlion!” She let out a relieved breath slowly getting up and stumbling towards him, swaying awkwardly with the added weight of kittens. “W- why are you here.. lion you aren’t sick.. I’m here to take you home” She stammered quickly, there was so many things running through her head she could barely keep everything straight. She could see his hesitance to embrace her but she didn’t care, she rushed straight for him nearly stumbling and tripping over her own paws before burying her face into his shoulder. “Crimson I couldn’t stand a few more days with you here, come on, we have to go before the patrol comes” she urged |

Raventuft felt terrible. This was even worse than anything he had ever felt. His joints ached, nose was runny, and his head felt...strange. He had no idea why her had to be moved to this...place! It was horrible, the air of sickness all around. How is this supposed to help us get better? He thought, frustrated, but he kept his muzzle shut and settled down on the hard ground.

Re: The Infirmary
Windystar had 9 lives to lose. Why had he trekked all the way from ShadowClan camp to Seastones in his condition? Well, he still needed to be there for ShadowClan as it’s only leader. He still don’t know who to pick for the deputy. So, as the Clan’s only leader, he needed to stay back and lead. He didn’t want to spread any sickness, so he slipped out of camp to go see the medicine cat apprentice, Goosepaw. He hadn’t heard much about them, and honestly wanted to know more. As he arrived, the rattling coughs chilled his bones. He was coughing as well, but he didn’t think it was that bad. That’s why he wanted to be treated early, so he’d be fine, right? He had to be. So he looked around, trying to find an obvious medical area. “Goosepaw?” he called - or croaked. Ouch. His voice was sore. That couldn’t be a good sign. @Peachy |
Re: Quarantine Zone
[ @Cosmo ]
Feeling horrible, Mistfall did not even bother to leave her nest. Feverish gaze watched the cats around her though did not seem to take much of it in. She was pretty far into whitecough and was getting close to forming into greencough. At first she had not noticed she was getting sick. She had known that some of her clan-mates came down with the case of whitecough and greencough, but she had believed herself to be fine. The molly had helped some of her clan-mates to the quarantine area and hadn't been getting much rest lately, leaving her a bit weaker than usual, and it was long before she had caught the illness as well. Now she was experiencing the symptoms, which were quickly growing worse due to not going to get treated right away. Her main fear was that she may have spread the sickness in her earlier stages. __________________________________________________ A kit, not too long before his apprenticeship, laid a nest a bit away from Mistfall. The smaller tom had quickly made his way through the stages of whitecough into greencough. After all, he was just a kit and wasn't strong enough to fight the illness. Due to not really having parents looking after him, the tom's symptoms were not discovered until a little while ago, after many of his clan-mates. He honestly wasn't too sure what was happening and why he was feeling so terrible. Though the tom had been aware of how scared some of the cats seemed to be for those who were sick and figured out that this wasn't just bad, but this was something really bad and probably dangerous. There wasn't anything like this in his life time, when someone was sick they just went to the medicine cat - though he supposed that would be very difficult for himself and his clan-mates since Heatherfur had resigned without an apprentice to take her place. But still, there were cats from all the clans here, and that was definitely something to worry about for him. Plus, it seemed to keep getting harder to breath. __________________________________________________ [ @Peachy ] Voleskip laid by himself in a nest. He was deep in his own thoughts, ice gaze staring at the ground, not really paying much attention to those around him. The tom wondered is Thornshadow was worried about him or if he would react much if Voleskip never returned to camp. His brother seemed to not wish to bother with him lately. Voleskip wished to talk to him and part of him knew that if they were both sick then Thornshadow wouldn't have an excuse to not speak with him nor spend some time together, but he didn't want his brother to be sick. The pale tabby had greencough, and it was definitely not something he would ever wish upon someone else. The sickness the horrible and it left him in pain, just wanting to lay in the makeshift nest for the rest of his life, not sure it this illness would ever leave him. |

A grey apprentice with iced over blue eyes carefully stepped into the camp. She inhailed before wheezing slightly. She sniffed the air carefully picking up Oriolestorm’s scent. She carefully approached her,” Oriolestorm.” She murmered, normally she was nervous and on edge, but she was so tired, she didn’t have the energy to be skittish. (White cough) A small brown-furred kit curled up against the ground shivering. The Riverclan kit, Waterlilykit knew she was sick, but thought they banished her from Riverclan until better. She assumed she would die because Riverclan lacked a medicine cat. She thought only Riverclan was doing this because they lacked the medicine cat. (White cough) @Charmer A black kit with a white underbelly laid in the camp. She understood why they sent her away. She laid still waiting for Shinefang or Ringpaw whoever it was to come treat her. (Green cough) @Delta A small kit scrunched up into a tight little ball wheezing and coughing. She looked miserable and felt worse than she looked. (Green cough) |
Re: Quarantine Zone
After a long while of travling the molly finally arrived in the camp. The sour smell of sickness filled her nose as she placed the kit in a spot near the others. "You going to be ok." she said giving him a final lick on the head. @Snowkapi |

Re: Quarantine Zone
@Branch of Life Oriolestorm had to treat all of the cats, but she had a soft spot for kits she couldn't control. The tortie she-cat rushed towards a small kit caught up in the midst of things. "Come on," she ordered, standing behind the kitten. "As soon as we get to the temporary camp I'll treat you. @Hexict Oriolestorm, now a full fledged medicine cat had not the least bit expected the sickness that had hit the clans. She held catmint in her jaws accompanied by tansy in case the cat had a fever. The first that she spotted was a misty colored she-cat. As she approached her she was able to smell a hint of RiverClan scent, but it was overwhelmed by the scent of whitecough. Oriolestorm could sense that if not treated correctly it would soon by greencough. She sat down beside the she-cat. "Do you feel feverish?" she asked her. |
Re: Quarantine Zone
(Do you don’t get tos confused) Deerkit looked up as she saw Oriolestorm approach her. Deerkit was confused but let the medicine cat guide her to the temporary camp to treat her. She padded slowly glancing behind her to see if Oriolestorm was still there. The small kit wheezed and coughed a bit her almond colored eyes slightly foggy. (Sorry it’s short) @Cosmo |

Tallmarsh padded from cat to cat, trying to find a ThunderClanner. She had decided that she wasn't going to help sick RiverClan cats. She already had too many patients and too little supplies, and plus they had Oriolestorm and Goosepaw helping them. That was more than enough. The dark tabby spotted a small bundle of fur that seemed to be very, very sick. Luckily enough for the medicine cat, this particular scrap of fur happened to be in ThunderClan--she wouldn't have to feel bad about not helping a sick kit. Her green eyes softening a bit, she padded over to the kit and said, "Hey, there. Let's get you some help." |

"Keep moving!" Shinefang growled through loosely grit teeth. He and Ringpaw had just arrived on the scene of the Greencough epidemic that has swept through the clans. He was shocked it had spread so fast. Greencough was contagious alright but looking around, the sheer number of cats was gut-wrenching, not in any small part because a number of them were elders and kits. The first patient caught his eye at once, a kit he had spoken to before. The last time he had seen Eveningkit, she was tearful and shakily telling him about her thoughts of hurting her littermates and seeing visions of the dark forest in her sleep. Now here she was looking weak and puny. Setting down his pile of precious catmint, he hesitated, then pushed a single leaf under the little kits nose. "Eat this," he commanded simply. Turning back to Ringpaw, he added. "A sprig of coltsfoot too. I will help sooth her cough and hopefully get the sleep she needs to heal properly." |
Re: Quarantine Zone
Sparrowfur looked around. "so many sick... is everyone here?"

The small Thunderclan kit curled up tighter in a ball shivering, her nose running,” T-t-thank you Tallmarsh.” She meowed as she heard Tallmarsh’s name and the scent of herbs and Thunderclan. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Eveningkit forced her eyes open to see Shinefang and Ringpaw. Normally she was rather inquisitive and would ask what it would do, but she was too sick to care. She obediently swallowed. She knew everyone was sick, but she didn’t want to be surrounded by all the germs around. She wasn’t necessarily a germaphobe, but being surrounded by all these germs which she carried made her quite uncomfortable. |

goosepaw was instructed to study herbs all morning while daydream went herb hunting. she would have much rather been out and about, but with the sudden plague, goosepaw didn’t argue. for the first time in her life, she felt sympathy for others illnesses. she was born weak and haunted by greencough at the ripe age of 6 moons, so whenever anyone else got sick, she’d roll her eyes and think they couldn't compare to her struggles. but...now that she’s healthy for once, goosepaw couldn't help but soften up a bit. hearing her name, goosepaw spun her head around like an owl to see who called. oh. she knew this one. windystar - used to be called windygale. she never got to speak with him during her sick days, but his voice was unmistakable. well, as unmistakable as you can get with a frog stuck in your throat. the young medicine cat smiled, dipping her head politely as she padded over to him. “ah, if it isn't windy. we finally meet.” her smile dropped as she got a closer look at him. “ewh...greencough is a drag, eh? here, let me find you something for your throat.” the small diluted cat hurried herself to day’s organized selection and hunched over for a bit, nose wiggling. she knew the common treatments for greencough and the basics, as she had been practically raised in the medicine den her whole life. although identifying if that herb was the correct herb she’s thinking of was a little...challenging. while she searched for catmint, goosepaw tried to keep windy patiently entertained. “bet it must be interesting to be a ‘star’ now, eh? i mean it's definitely strange for me to be called goosepaw, but then again i never liked addressing suffixes. too formal for my taste. you can just call me goose, if ya like.” |

Ringpaw nodded dutifully, her face softening as she turned to the sickly kitten. She watched as the little black and white kit swallowed the catmint as soon as she had been told. With a small smile, Ringpaw sat down next to the kit, pushing a small sprig of coltsfoot towards the cat. “I’m Ringpaw. What’s your name?” She purred softly, looking down at the small cat with gentleness. It made her heart ache to see a kitten this small coughing and hurting so much, away from her mother and family. Resting her tail on the kit’s spine, Ringpaw moved it forwards a bit to her head, where she could feel the beginnings of a fever. Hopefully the coltsfoot and catmint would help put off a fever, which could be fatal. “How are you feeling?” She asked gently, moving her tail away again. |

Ringpaw smiled a tiny bit where she heard the kits name. “Well hello Eveningkit,” She said, trying to be comforting. Ringpaw’s face fell. “I know. All of the sick cats here, it’s awful. But I’m sure that you’ll be getting well soon and you’ll be back at camp in no time.” She sympathized, before pausing to think. Cold and icky. She was probably running a small fever if she felt cold, not hot enough to make her feel uncomfortably warm, but enough that the chill in the air was freezing in comparison. “Don’t worry. I’ll bring you some moss to put around you, that should be a bit warmer.” |

goosepaw wished daydream had the time to assist her, but realistically there was no time to even bother complaining. the whole temporary camp had doubled in size just within a few days, and it was quite disgusting. she decided it was a good time to go around and see if there were any fellow clanmates she could help out in the quarantine (what an awful name). swerving around the sick bodies, she came across an ill shadow-scented feline. voleskip, she believed his name was. the young medicine apprentice approached him cautiously, small ears narrowing on him. “you’re voleskip, right? im goosepaw, but you can call me goose...how are you feeling?” |
Re: Quarantine Zone
{Open to anyone} Dolphinsplash couldn't believe she'd caught white cough! How did that even happen? The silver swirled molly had only minded her own business and next thing she knows she's being sent off the this temporary camp with cats from the other four Clans. This is annoying and RiverClan doesn't even have a medicine cat. She grumbled silently as a coughing fit caught her. It hurt, her throat was sour from coughing and her nose was runny. On top of that it was cold and nosy, all she could hear was coughing and sneezing cats. Pale green eyes musty the small warrior would lay her head down just wishing this was over so she could get back to normal warrior life. |

Raventuft was lying in the shadows. The trees were rumbling with a nice, quick breeze that nipped at his fur despite the shelter in the bush, and under the shadows. He had always felt comfortable in them. But not...not now. He was feeling grumpy and distressed, with all the sickness in the air around him. And he was sick himself. He couldn't believe it! He would much rather be running around hunting and protecting his clan..And now, now he was sitting around, with nothing to fight for, nothing to do. He hissed with annoyance and shifted his place underneath the bush. His pelt felt hot and his chest stung. Why did they even put us in a quarantine? What if we get well, and are not moved out soon enough, and get sick all over again? All he could do was sit and ask questions. Nothing else. I hope I can get out of here soon, some healing might be helpful, he thought grumpily.

It wasn’t that bad. This is what he told himself. Maybe Windystar shouldn’t have sat in his den in denial, insistent upon staying because ShadowClan needed it’s leader. They had no deputy to take over things, he couldn’t leave. But it was his fault they had no deputy. ‘Just pick one!’ Or maybe he didn’t want to see the looks of horror on his healthy Clanmate’s faces as their leader stumbled to the Quarantine Zone to be healed. He had avoided the kits and elders especially, never wanting to infect another cat. His throat hurt from holding back coughs. His paws ached, and his muscles were already weakened by the disease. He could feel his legs shaking, struggling to hold up his body. It took a moment, but eventually he had gotten Goosepaw’s attention. They seemed rather polite and happy. Well, at least they - she had a smile on her face. “Goosepaw, nice to meet you.” he tried to match her smile but utterly failed. He simply nodded as she rushed to her herb supply. He thought he could walk a little closer to make it easier on the young cat. But he only made it a few steps before his legs demanded rest. He attempted to lay down with at least a little grace, but ended up flopping down like a fish out of water. Still, it wasn’t the worst thing to happen to him. He coughed, feeling his throat burn and his lungs ache as he did so. His vision swam, and he fought to stay in control. It wasn’t that bad. Even though she couldn’t see him, Windystar attempted a smile as Goosepaw talked. He found her a bit humorous, though not in a bad way. “I mean it’s... different,” he started, searching for the right words. “Alright, Goose, that sounds good.” He tested out the nickname, seeming pleased with the outcome. That is, until he cringed and doubled over and - you guessed it - he coughed again. He couldn’t stop. It was cough after cousin after painful cough until it finally subsided with him very weak and almost unable to move. No, NO. IT WASN’T THAT BAD. |

Just stepping into the clearing of the makeshift camp was unbearable, the unmistakable wave of a sickly scent crashing over Lionstorm. Good job, medicine cats. Throw all the unwell cats together so they could die from just smelling their illness. Twisting his muzzle in disgust, he carried Fawnpaw over to where the apprentices had been bunched together. There were several unoccupied nests, and he crouched down beside one so Fawnpaw could easily slide off into a nest. "How are you feeling?" he asked him. "Do you want me to grab you anything?" Lionstorm couldn't hang around forever, unfortunately-- he had no desire to be exposed to the other sick, but he'd make Fawnpaw as comfortable as he could in the meantime. "If you're thirsty, I could get you water." |
