OPEN for all EclipseClan kitties!

Oceanstar sat on the Moon Rock (Clan Meeting Place), looking over her Clan. She had to admit, it was quite small right now, but surely that would change in the future! Especially considering her second litter of kits would be born soon. (MATE OPEN) She was a considerably smaller cat, compared to the others. Oceanstar ruffled her blue-gray fur, and smiled. The Clan needed a deputy, and there was only one eligible warrior. He would be good, but she wanted to make sure she could trust him. She remember the badger rampage on camp they had suffered ten moons ago. The Clan had all but been wiped out, and she knew the badgers weren't finished with them yet.

Waterleaf padded out of her den, yawning. What a lovely morning! She glanced around and noticed her sister, Oceanstar, upon the Moon Rock. The Medicine Cat walked over, smiling, "Good Morning, Oceanstar."

Oceanstar looked down at her sister. "Waterleaf! Hi!" She jumped down, as gracefully as she could with a pregnant belly. (#pregnancystruggles) "How are you?"

Waterleaf smiled again. "Oh, I'm fine, you?" The black cat sat down, her tail curled around her paws.

"Tired. The kits were kicking last night." Oceanstar made a face and sat down also.

Waterleaf nodded, "At least you have kits, some cats never get any." There was only one thing Waterleaf didn't like about being a medicine cat, and that was not having kits. But she would never tell anyone that. She was happy for her sister, even when Waterleaf knew she would never have her own kits.

Oceanstar nodded. "I understand that. But leaders shouldn't have kits, they favor the kits." She straightened. "That will NOT happen to my kits. I'll be harder on them and they will be the best warriors."

Waterleaf nodded, glancing up at the sun. It would be sun high soon, and she wondered when Oceanstar would appoint the deputy. "Of course, I am not leader, but I do believe that you are going to announced the deputy soon?"

Oceanstar nodded. "I am thinking about Firestep. He is a good, strong warrior."

Waterleaf nodded too, "Your right, he is. Firestep is loyal, brave, and strong, he would make a fine deputy."
