Guide To: Reincarnations
 

Your cat has died, but you're not done with them yet. You've heard of this thing called reincarnations.. a way to give your cat a fresh start, and keep some of the skills they've acquired along the way.

Unfortunately, it's not as simple as it once was. The skies have not been impressed with many of the cats previously allowed back, and they've put their paw down. A council called the Covenant of the Sky was formed to ensure the sanctity of life and death - second chances aren't just granted to anyone.

Petitioning these cats for a new life will be hard-- not everyone gets another chance. But play your cards right, and you'll be rewarded.

When creating a thread, please keep the thread name as just your character's name! This makes it easy to track characters that are approved / denied. Additionally, ensure that your thread has the 'Pending' prefix applied when submitting or you won't be able to create it.

If denied, don't worry - there's always more chances to be approved! Your cat is being judged on the reason they want to be brought back, and what (if anything) they've done to deserve it more than others.

If denied and retrying, please just use the already created thread for your character.

Note: you have three days to respond to the roleplay, or it will begin to move on without you, as these should be fairly fast-paced. We want to avoid appeals stalling out! If needed, you can reach out to the council members roleplaying with you for an extension - we just need you to communicate.

The council consists of 9 personal characters, and a handle of NPC characters created by the 2022 donors! NPC characters may be used by either a high rank, or a donor, and they are not specifically owned by either.

When petitioning for a reincarnation, three council members will be judging you, and at least two of them need to approve of your revival. From there, a ceremony will be held at the spiritual side of the Starcave to bring your cat back.

Reincarnated cats will need to start out as kits. The cat they once were no longer exists - their spirit is destroyed during the merge and becomes the kit. There is no 'going back' once the kit is roleplayed.

Any knowledge you wish for your reincarnation to obtain must be triggered through roleplay.
