Eaglepaw had barely left the medicine den when she wasn't on patrol or sleeping. She had hardly spoken to Mossypaw, though it seemed like he wasn't around much anyway. Dusklion was off limits after Eaglepaw had accused her of attacking Fadingsun--Eaglepaw knew that she was going to have to apologize to the head lion heart, if only to ease her own conscience, but the fear of Dusklion rejecting her was too strong.

Eaglepaw had her head rested on her paws, staring longingly out the den entrance, wishing she could be out on the territory learning how to hunt or fight. She wanted Fadingsun back.

Fadingsun was finally staying conscious for long stretches of time, although he was still exhausted. He'd lost a lot of blood from the wounds he'd sustained, and the mild head injury certainly hadn't helped, either. He'd mostly been aware of the comings and goings of certain cats (particularly Dusklion), but he hadn't been up for too much talking.

The deputy blinked the sleep from his eyes, slowly making out Eaglepaw's form nearby. His apprentice had remained diligently at his side, just as his sister had. Fadingsun didn't really understand why, since it wasn't like they were blood-related or anything. The idea of anyone but his own flesh and blood caring deeply for him was... odd and foreign.

Smiling, he softly said, "Hey, Eaglepaw. I hope you've still been out there training while I'm stuck in here."

Eaglepaw's large, tufted ear swiveled towards Fadingsun as he shuffled. She perked up, twisting to face him. Just hearing his voice and seeing him awake was very reassuring to her. When Dusklion had first reported that he was awake, Eaglepaw had been eager to visit, though Marigoldleap and Dusklion both suggested she wait until he was a little stronger. That made sense to her, so she had done as she was told.

When he mentioned training, Eaglepaw nodded eagerly. "Oh I've been on a buncha patrols, and Mistyshard and Pigeonpelt both said I did a good job." Pride shone in the young apprentice's eyes, and her fluffy white paws kneaded the floor in front of her. "I'm gonna ask around for some battle trainin' too, but everyone's a bit busy handlin' the outsiders." She didn't seem deterred though. "But I've got time. When you're all healed up, I'm gonna wow you with my skills!"
