Sun high came and went, the blazing yellow ball in the sky now sinking low past the horizon. With it went the warmth, and Brave could feel that it would be a cold night by the eerie breeze that billowed past her. Trotting back onto the small section of territory she had claimed for herself, the she-cat dropped her catch of two mice and a shrew into a small hole. Her head bobbed down again and snagged one of the mice before slender paws worked to cover the rest. It wasn't much, but the brown and cream cat wouldn't complain - especially in the middle of this frost-bitten weather.
Moving away from her makeshift nest and den - an old, vacated badgers den with the foundation made of old, piled up driftwood that she had found many moons ago - Brave settled on a slight rise in the land, tucking her tail at her side. Her stomach growled angrily, ready to feast on what she scrunched her nose up at. Mice were certainly not a delicacy favorited by her, but it was prey and she would eat it regardless. Bending her neck down the she-cat started in on her dinner, the tip of her tail twitching beside her as she lost herself to her thoughts.
