Personailty:
Brief overview: Kind and selfless warrior and always ready to help out wherever she is able, but the events of her life have shaped her a lot.

In-depth:

A silver-tongued speaker, but is often too overcome with emotions to keep her words straight. Mistylight can talk well most of the time, and has no problem standing in front of crowds (big or small) and communicating her ideas. But despite this, Mistylight's heart was never in popularity or rank, and the idea of being a leader or deputy didn't really appeal to her. Her heart is in serving her clan, and if she deems leading things to be the best way, she will do that, but she is more content with helping out in other, smaller ways.

Though she is calm and friendly, there is a time when all that drops. She is extremely protective of her family and loved ones, and laying a claw on them is always the quickest way to get on her list of enemies. While usually forgiving given a proper apology, hurting her treasured ones is not something that is easily forgotten by the older molly.

Though her calmness might be switched out for an almost childish excitement if you get her talking about her interests. She isn't quick to dive into those topics since she knows how she gets when discussing those, but if her conversation partner seems willing to go there, she is more than happy to gush for hours. Her main interests are birds, but she is also passionate about everything surrounding her clan and clanmates (especially her family and friends), so if anything is currently going on in their lives she will joyfully talk about that as well.

So yeah, Mistylight is a huge fan of birds. She has lived quite long and therefore has been able to observe them a lot. When she was younger she used to rush out every morning during the spring and autumn to see if she could spot the birds leaving or returning, and locate all the birds' nests (even if she didn't want anyone else to know and hunt the birds). Because of all this, she is also a little better at distinguishing between species than most other cats who don't have her passion for the feathery creatures.

Though in harder times, a different side of her will come out. She will suddenly become a lot more resourceful, practical, and logical in her thinking, and rethink how she prioritizes things. The first Leafbare she ever lived through was incredibly tough, and though she was only an apprentice at the time, she had to spend most of her time trying to provide for her clan and keep her clanmates well. She was much too young for tasks like that, and that winter left marks on her, so naturally, there is still a part of her that remembers that.

Deep inside this calm, mature warrior, there is also a little hopeless romantic, left there after her childhood days. She had only ever had one crush and is very slow to fall. So it will take a long time before she actually starts to consider anyone in that light, but she still dreams about having someone in that way, thinking how she would take them on dates and shower them with all kinds of gifts.

She has always had the instinct to protect others. Already from an early age, she liked to make sure her siblings as friends were safe, and that feeling has only grown and matured with her through the years. She has never had kits, but still has that certainly motherly urge to protect younger cats. But, despite all that, she does like being taken care of as well sometimes, and that mutuality is something she tends to look for in relationships with cats around her age.

Though she's easily willing to change small things up, Mistylight is still a cat of routine and habit and finds a certain comfort in them. [...]

History
1-6 moons (kithood)
Mistykit was born in early spring to two great warriors named Bluebird and Cindercloud, with two siblings named Ashkit and Ivykit.

Her parents were good and loving and raised the three kids well. Cindercloud was a very active queen and was constantly telling her kits stories (always managing to sneak some moral in there) and even taking other orphaned kits under her wing, leading Mistykit, Ashkit, and Ivykit to have a lot of friends in the nursery. Bluebird was also a great parent and spent a lot of time with his children despite his duties also taking up a lot of time. He tended to take them (along with other kits, since he and Cindercloud had basically adopted half the nursery now) and teach them how a great and honorable warrior should behave.

Ivykit, the grey and white tabby, was the quietest one of the litter, usually leaving the socializing with to her siblings, but she trained a lot on her own, even seeking out a warrior to train her during her free time.

Ashkit was the most outgoing of the three, though not as active as his sisters. Make no mistake, he had energy but mainly used it for pranks. But while he was the most chaotic kit of them, he was almost just as quick as Mistykit to come to help another kit if they were hurt, and Mistykit could see her brother really cared, even if he tended to show a more careless side.

Mistykit was a rather curious and playful little kit, and though the rules had been mentioned to her, she didn't really give them too much thought. She was small and quick so she didn't really get caught much, and when she did her cute charm tended to get her out of most situations.

The day of the litter's apprentice ceremony came along in early autumn, and the three kits had been ordered to groom their pelts before proudly stepping forward. Ivypaw was assigned the same warrior she had been quietly training with during the past two moons, and Mistypaw emmidietly saw her usually quiet sister lit up with delight. Next was Ashpaw, who would be mentored by a cat Mistypaw deemed to be just the right cat to keep her reckless brother in check while also allowing him to get his energy out.
Lastly, her name was called, and Mistypaw went to touch noses with her new mentor.

6-15 moons (apprenticeship)
The moons of her apprenticeship seemed to fly by, with Mistypaw spending every moment she could outside, learning everything her mentor would teach her and soaking up the knowledge like a sponge. Though the winter was a bit harsh, Mistypaw's parents saw to it that she and her siblings didn't have to go hungry, and Mistypaw even started hunting a lot more herself to help out.
Finally, the harsh winter passed without any death, and the meeting after the last snow had melted away, Mistypaw was surprised to hear her sister, Ivypaw, being called forward. Her quiet sibling had never shown off too much, but her apprenticeship had been spent training hard, and despite her young age, Ivypaw had already managed to surpass many of the other apprentices in skill, and was now ready for her warrior name. With round eyes, Mistypaw watched her sister, Ivyvine.
Though happy for her sister and beyond proud, Mistypaw felt a stab of guilt over not having had as much contact with Ivyvine. They had spent the winter with different tasks, and Mistypaw wished that she wouldn't have been so focused on overcoming the harsh season, that she would have spent more time with her sister and asked her how her training was going, wished that all of this wouldn't have been such a surprise.

After this Mistypaw made sure to seek out both of her siblings often to both train and talk with them, and she was amazed by Ivyvine's fightings skills, and made a habit out of sparring with her sister every now and then so they could both train.
She also wanted to be close to Ashpaw, but sparring wasn't quite how her other sibling bonded, and Mistypaw had to familiarize herself with her brother's friend group to better get along with him.
One problem though. There was an apprentice who was a part of Ashpaw's gang whom Mistypaw got to know; Harepaw. An energetic and endlessly upbeat apprentice, friendly towards Mistypaw from the start, and also the first one to welcome her in. Though Harepaw was never really interested in Mistypaw as anything else than a friend, this was Mistypaw's first crush. Though she fell pretty hard, she did try and focus on her training aswell, and became a warrior in the summer and earnin her full name; Mistylight, honored for her helpfulness and compassion for her clanmates. Ashpaw and Harepaw become warriors right before autumn.

16 - ~30 moons (early warriorhood)
Proud of their three kits, Bluebird and Cindercloud one evening took out Ivyvine, Ashspark, and Mistylight for a little family hunt. Bluebird had found a rabbit's nest the same day during a patrol, and now all five worked together to hunt them down, before spending the rest of the night outside together. Going out once every moon for some quality time and hunting became a bit of a tradition after this.

After being warriors for a while, and talking even outside of group activities, Mistylight started to think about actually asking Harepaw, or Harebriar as her crush was known now, about becoming... something more than just friends. This was nerve-wrackingly stressful for the young warrior. She had always had a feeling she was more into mollies than toms, but this was still her first-ever crush, and she had no idea how to deal with it.
So she had made sure to plan it all out: hunt Harebriar's favorite prey, pick Harebriar's favorite flowers, find Harebriar's favorite spot to decorate, and finally ask the pretty molly to come with her for a walk. While a bit confused at first, Harebriar's beautiful green eyes widened in amazement as she saw what Mistylight had created. The started talking, and Mistylight found herself talking more than ever before, not only because she just loved talking to Harebriar, but also because the more she talked, the longer she could wait before asking the big question.
But she couldn't wait forever, and eventually, she had to. She explained to Harebriar that she had had something akin to a crush on the other cat since their apprentice days, and that those feelings had all but faded over time, instead maturing with the warrior. But while finally letting the words out caused a light fluttery feeling in her chest, dread also filled her heart as the silence after her confession dragged out, and she saw the somewhat sorrowful look on Harebriar's face. "I... I'm sorry, Misty, I just... I just don't think of you like that.... apologies..." Those words were carved into Mistylight's heart like wounds for moons after, but in the moment she just swallowed the lump forming in her throat, and shook her head, telling Harebriar not to apologize, and that one didn't choose their feelings.
The two's friendship was never really the name after that, but Mistylight herself also was never quite the same. This was her first big rejection in life, and while she wasn't totally broken, she wasn't as secure of herself or as confident after that.

~30 - 57 moons (later warriorhood)
Life went on like usual until conflict began to brew between Thunderclan and Riverclan, and eventually, it broke out into a series of battles. Mistylight fought like everyone else, folding off foes the best she could, as did her family; Ivyvine's talents in fighting showed through in the fight, Ashspark had spun into a chaos of swipes and bites at any Riverclanner who would dare get near him, and Cindercloud and Bluebird kept a steady pace, never leaving each other's sides.
The battle seemed to be tipping in Thunderclan's favor, and Misty had just managed to send a Riverclanner back to camp with enough wounds to keep them away for a while when she heard a shriek sounding from the part where her parents were fighting. Bluebird and Cindercloud had been overwhelmed by three warriors who had managed to push them back. Mistylight rushed to their side to aid them, helping her parents fend off the attackers. That was until she could feel stones dislocate and move under her paws, causing her and Cindercloud to tumble into the rushing river below. Panic filled the blue-furred warrior's heart as she clawed at the riverbank, trying to escape. But had it not been for Bluebird's jaws grabbing a hold of her neck fur and dragging over out, she wouldn't have gotten out. Not wasting a second more, Bluebird dove in after his mate who was being swept away (having been knocked out after hitting her head on a stone), trying to get her out of the water. But this was just when molten snow and ice from the winter were begging to flood the rivers, and though Bluebird did his best, Mistylight could do nothing but watch as her parents were swept away by the current.
Thunderclan won the battle but Mistylight's heart felt like it was frosting over with worry as she rushed along the river, trying to find any sign of her parents. But other than a few faintly smelling claw scratches on a branch hanging over the river (as if someone had tried to grab a hold of it to escape) she didn't find anything, not even a tuft of fur. She, accompanied by Ivyvine, Ashspark, and a few other warriors searched the rest of the day for Bluebird and Cindercloud, and she continued looking for them even when night had fallen and the rest had turned back, but nothing was found.

It was a dreadful few moons that followed, and though Mistylight was fine, her nights were plagued by nightmares of rushing water and slippery stones. She didn't go near the river after that.

Thunderclan faced more hardship after that, losing or being let down by leader after leader, until Dawnstar, the leader of Shadowclan one day stalked into their camp, followed by a group of her warriors. Someone from Thunderclan had invited the leader in to get Thunderclan back on track, but this proved to have been a mistake, as the battle that ensued from Thunderclan cats rebelling against Dawnstar led to the death of two cats, and injuring of many more.
Dawnstar remained in Thunderclan for a few moons after that [wip]

57 moons and forward (current) (this will be updated every now and then)
During a meeting, Mistylight got to hear that Sparrowstar was planning to add lessons that kits would be required to take before becoming apprentices, these including things like Clan Etiquette, Clan Relations, Clan History, Warrior Code, Herbs, and Hunting. Mistylight offered to take care of Clan Etiquette like her father had taught her and her siblings, or Clan History since she was now among the older warriors.
