Keeping her face carefully pleasant as the outsider lumped the moss she had been gathering before them, Dapplebreeze would be lying if she didn't admit to have been... confused. Why would an outsider have come into well marked land to "help" by gathering their own moss? It was... peculiar to say the least, and rather pointless as far as she was concerned. There were plenty of WindClan cats available to gather the moss, none of which would be breaking the code or getting in danger for doing so. Settling on assuming the feline was perhaps more so a harmless queen with a slight, adventurous streak in her, she remained quiet. There was no need to further encourage her and give her the idea she was welcome here for such a thing.
Dainty paws followed after the molly, a small twitch of her tail silently signaling her apprentice to follow. Close as they were to the border, Dapplebreeze was very much a paws on individual. She would rather ensure the feline was well gone before she let down her guard. Silently, the patched former queen stared at the horizon, watching in silence until well after the other had left, finally satisfied of a job well done. With a smile, she turned to her apprentice, an appreciative look gleaming in her eye, the warmth that she'd lost during the encounter well returned by now.
"Excellent work, darling. It would have been far too easy to have made a ruckus out of that, and potentially risk injuring many a cat in a battle that needn't had happened in the first place. It is always best to be... polite. Diplomatic, if you will. Provide a warning to the intruder so they can leave of their own accord. Just remember..." she paused, her voice growing serious once more, if only for a moment.
"Leave your warning at just one. Multiple warnings are pointless, and will diminish the strength and conviction with each subsequent one. Mercy is giving them a chance. It moves to ignorance when that chance is opened to them trampling over us."
Standing up, the warrior stretched, her tail giving a lazy sway in the breeze. Turning to the moss, she sniffed. It would be a shame to leave materials that could be useful to all cats in the clan to dry out and rot here. If only they had gotten here before the stranger could have dragged her claws through so much of it. They would have to cut their patrol short to bring this back to camp. Still, a good educational moment for her dearest kit... erm, apprentice, so she couldn't fully complain, she supposed.
Expectant, blue hues on the fawn tabby, Dapplebreeze purred in mild amusement.
"Well... I suppose no harm in bringing this with us now that we know the stranger is gone, is there? Perhaps inform Fallownose of this... intruder. I can scent others in the area as well. We might have to keep vigilant. Wouldn't want another situation to arise like the Dull Simpleton's from before, thinking they could take our land," the warrior mewed before dipping her head, maw filling with half the moss the outsider had shredded before leading the way back to camp.
