ShadowClan Re: [Swimming EVENT] Time to get our pelts wet!

Event [#event]

Lynxshade
Shadowclan
27 moons old | she/her

Shadow Fiend | Primal Instincts | Beefed Up (T1)

So many cats were gathering in the clearing after Lynxshade's call, that she found herself much more surprised than she'd anticipated. They're all traditional and all, but at least some of these cats are willing to learn!
She took a deep breath and straightened herself, craning her neck to see all of the cats she had in front of her. Her whiskers twitched in excitement. Hawkbite was among them, though the she-cat named Nightshiver was with him and... a kit? Was that a kit bouncing all around the warrior? She stared curiously at the trio for a moment before blinking away the sight and focus on her duty.

"Right, so..." Some murmurs had to be wiped away, first.
"Yes, we are almost in leaf-bare. Yes, the water is cold. But if Riverclan can do it, why can't we? Are we skinny and thin like the branches that shed their leaves in this hard season, or are we warriors?" She asked with a hint of provocation, hoping to get everyone's attention on the matter.
Dawnstar was there as well, and she seemed pretty... skeptical, about the whole situation. Was she really gonna wet herself?

"Though this does not mean we are free from the cold bite of the air, nor from that of greencough and whitecough." She threw a glance at the medicine cat's den, wondering whether Elmshadow could hear what she was saying now. Did he even care?
She cleared her throat before speaking again. "That means... move your soft furry asses. Use those paws of yours to make your way in the water when the time comes, and when you are done, pick a clanmate and groom yourselves in the wrong way to warm yourself." Just like tiny little kits coming out of their mothers' womb. "When you can bear the wind in your fur, make a run for your dens and get some rest together. You'll need it after this, trust me."
This should make it.

She noticed a bit of arrogance in Thornpaw's complain, but at least he wasn't being unrespectful like the first time they had met. She met his gaze and replied calmly: "You should thank me that I allowed apprentices to join us, Thornpaw. Even if you won't admit it, your young bodies are smaller and weaker than ours. Less resistant to the cold. That's why you'll be allowed to participate only for a short bit of time at the beginning." nd before any other complains could be made by the youngest, she added: "Yes, apprentices will return home sooner to get themselves warm before they catch something." While she said that she was staring at Hawkbite, who was probably thinking about the first time they had met and she had gotten a fever after a swim in the river. Yes, I know that sack of fur. She told him with her gaze.
"Oh, and I'll need some warrior to escort them home. Nightshiver, will you please take this role?" She was sure the queen would, for she was always the kindest and most available in the clan. Lynxshade was happy to have met her.

"Are we ready to leave, then?" She asked them all with the most authoritative voice she could find, though that wasn't really her best quality. "Let's go to Sunkissed Creek!"

EDIT: Next post will be on 28th November! You all are free to post here as if we are all walking to Sunkissed Creek!

Optional prompt: there is some prey around but Lynxshade has ordered everyone to keep pace and not walk away from the group. Will you give up or chase it?
