Sparrowsnarl's relentless paws halted in their battering as Mudhound cried out in frustration, surprise in his amber gaze. What the hell? His lapse in focus made him vulnerable, and Mudhound's strength sent him tripping off to the side. He glowered at the tripod. "Surprising, coming from a cat who has invaded our camp twice now. Bumblestar's lackey indeed." He spat.

Sparrowsnarl kept his stance ready to leap at Mudhound should they try to fight back or run, but the cuts along his muzzle were stinging, and it was hard to keep the blood out of his eyes. He was a full maine coon, so they were of equal size. "I saw you targeting apprentices, you coward." Suddenly lunging forward, he aimed a swipe along Mudhound's nose.

Freed from being pinned by Sparrowsnarl Mudhound quickly righted themself and skittered back, putting some distance between them and hissing, trying to fight down another outburst. They were just.... So tired at this point and had hated this from the beginning anyways so the space from their new enemy was much needed to even the tripods emotional state.

Which Mudhound tried to do, shaking the warriors den debris off of their pelt as they put it to their back as protection and just tried to breath through the accusations. The hornet didnt need to acknowledge this, they shouldnt care what a random riverclan cat thought of them.... But did, yowling back "We were attacked! We were defending ourselves! Your clanmates attacked us on our side of the border and tried to kill my nephew! He's an apprentice and we did nothing to them and we even returned the bodies!!! Maybe it didnt help but I- I'd do anything for my sister and to protect my family."

That mightve been more information then shouldve been shared but it was the truth and an explanation for why Bumblestar was loosing her mind. On thunderclans side of the border the leaders sibling and son were attacked with the intent to be killed and only survived because they killed in turn. So it was no wonder the leader had lost it and hauled their corpses to the camp. And it was no wonder Mudhound followed her, desperate to protect her kin.


But it hardly mattered did it, the two clashing as the hornet ducked under the swiped and threw themself into Sparrowsnarls chest was a snarl, trying to snap and claw at the warriors front. Through that they growled, fury growing as this seemingly blind fool only got half the picture constantly. "Yes I did and it was the right thing to do!" A swipe "What kind of clan are you?!" A snap. "The first one was frozen and barely counted as an apprentice but still either locked up or felt she had to fight anyway. Did you lot even train her at all?!" A paw reached up to try and slap the tom. "Had I not showed her that she had no place in the fight as gently as possible and escorted her somewhere safe she wouldve gotten herself killed because none of your clan taught her how to handle battles!"

Mudhound ducked under whatever return fire that was flung against them, pulling away to further spit judgement with a "And the other one?! You raise cold blooded murderers here! Youre lucky Im not as bad as he was and didnt go in for a killing blow when I'd knocked him over because he sure was! Flutterminnow was unconscious but he didnt care, you raise apprentices to act like that?! Look at him!" Mudhound gestured to Talonpaw, who was now trying to beat the snot out of another apprentice using size and just sheer brutality. He didnt seemed trained at all despite his age but was definitely instilled with the drive to harm despite that but and here Mudhound was fighting an idiot instead of getting Nightpaw away from him! "At least thunderclan trains to kill as a last resort while yours seems to do so at wild abandon! We may be wrong to be here but why are you all so murder and poison happy!"


The hornet was just so tired and upset after hopping from opponent to opponent this whole fight. So, in a fit of frustration picked up a branch, loosened from the destruction of the warriors den and chucked it at Sparrowsnarls head. Childish? Maybe. Probably not very effective of a move? Yep. Satisfying? Definitely.

It helped in a way too, allowing for some venting of frustration as the tripod settled into a ready stance waiting for the attacks from the tom they expected.
