FruitBatz [You're perfectly alright. Reply when you have time, that's what I do]
Dawnstar stayed close to the base of the tree as she saw Turtlepaw sloppily climb up it. The leader bashed a mink's head against a trunk, and it crumbled to the ground unmoving. Her claws tore through the belly of another, gutting it, and her teeth bit down on the neck of one gnawing at her shoulder, killing it instantly. But it seemed that no matter how many she put down, more replaced them. Frustrated and growing tired little by little, the leader gave up and swiftly followed Turtlepaw more gracefully up the tree.
She sat on a branch nearby Turtlepaw and gave a furious spat. Chased up a damn tree by rodents? Dawnstar was more frustrated than humiliated, a smart cat knows when a battle is lost. As the minks let out screeches and growled below them, Dawnstar looked over to Turtlepaw.
"You alright?
It looked like Turtlepaw had gotten up the tree before the swarm hit them. Dawnstar had a number of bites along her flanks and shoulders, and a few scratches where a stray claw caught her muzzle, but the leader appeared more or less fine. The bites would throb for sure, but seeing as nothing was life-threatening and she could deal with the pain. She's dealt with the worst, most of her wounds were surface-deep yet they bleed quite a bit.
Dawnstar began licking at bites, she'd have to swing by the medicine cat's den whether she liked it or not. She could bother Lostspark, but it might be a good idea to see how Mossfreckle is doing with his training. A shrill screech had her eyes drift back to the minks. They were circling the trunk of the tree, but Dawnstar was sure they'd give up soon enough. She noticed quite a few of the minks were already sporting wounds, scratches, or bite marks. Considering the camp from WindClan's part of the territory.
"Looks like a WindClan problem just became ShadowClan's."
