The Commander led his patrol back. He wasn't going to wait on them any longer. They'd simply get their punishment if they failed to follow him back. Even if he was their patrol leader, he wanted to see them deposit their catches on the prey pile.

Hawkbite dropped his prey off on the way to take reports from the patrols. Hopefully the punishment looming over their heads was enough to get a decent turnaround.
