Ashflicker's eyes widened when he heard Tawnystar call out his name as the new deputy of CherryClan. 'Me? Did I hear that right?' Ashflicker's eyes were filled with shock and amazement. He could feel the fur on the back of his neck begin itch as cats fixed their gaze on him. Ashflicker swallowed hard and stood up. His pelt was hot with embarassment as he neared the skybird tree. Once he was close enough to reach out and touch the tree, he turned to face the ranks of CherryClan. Ashflicker swallowed and began, "I am honored to accept such an honored call in CherryClan. I understand it takes time to earn trust....patience.....loyalty.....and commitment. These are all the qualities you must have to receive such a high calling. I know I am but a young warrior, but I will do my best to surve as a valued warrior until my final breath." He spoke. Ashflicker sliently prayed to StarClan. 'I'm glad I was able to make that speech.'
