Cherrydawn's heart leapt as the Windclan warrior ade his way toward her. She swallowed and bowed her head. "Skyfeather," she meowed. "How is the prey running in Windclan?" It sounded wrong to her. Too stiff and formal. But she had to be strong, for both of them. This hurt now, but Skyfeather was a handsome tom.
Soon he'll meet a shecat in his own clan, and have kits with her. Her chest flared with sudden jealousy, but she pushed it down.
