Lotustail had seen the ceremony with great glee. But then a thought slammed into her. What if Featherkit’s mother was still out there? As she followed that trail of thought, Goldenstar majestically swept off the great rock, then slammed into the ground. Lotustail leapt to her paws, darting towards her Leader.
“Move over,” Lotustail said, ushering the kit a bit away. She placed her paw over Goldenstars pulse, and noticed she was only shocked, not hurt. But, her paw was throbbing, so Goldenstar must have wrenched it. “Are you alright? You haven’t sprained anything, but you can’t lay here like fresh kill,” she finished with a purr. Inside, the purr didn’t matter.

"Have to." Goldenstar gasped, "get. to. hill." She gasped as she tried to stand. She saw her clanmates watching her, and she stood with her teeth gritted and began to walk with all four paws to lotustail's den. As she entered the den she begun to limp.
