Lightfeather looked to see if each cat was present.
Softpaw, Sleetpaw, and Poppytwist... okay, we're ready! But before they could go, Lightfeather had one wonder on her mind. "So... um... who's leading the patrol?" She didn't think it would be herself, even though Lionstar told her to take Softpaw, Poppytwist, and Sleetpaw.
They probably think I've been on patrol once or twice, she thought. She didn't have much experience on patrols, so she added, "Oh, I'm just asking because it's been a while since I've been on patrol... so once again, I'm just wondering who's gonna lead the patrol." She started to get really red beneath her fur.
I hope I didn't embarrass myself... I feel like an apprentice again.
