Windpaw was still terrified, and while she had been trying to claw Croakingpaw’s face, she had been thrown away. Hitting the ground hard, she felt a sharp pain on her skin. Mostly on her shoulder. It had been scratched on a just barely covered rock that she had uncovered. And just before ShadowClan had started to retreat, she bolted away. Tears flowing through her eyes. Pain in her ear, and pain over her face. Why had Nightshade abandoned her?
