That was highly unlikely, but Singepaw was thinking of every worst-case scenario possible. With a final gulp, the gray molly started forward, trying not to shake so much as she crept across the ground, easing into a crouch. Once she was right near the bush, she did the bigger version of the bunny hope she'd practiced, landing squarely on the mouse and administering a killing bite. She'd... actually done it. Wow.

Dustsong squealed and jumped up!
She ran toward her apprentice and meowed

Singepaw! You did it what did I tell you? I’m so so so proud of you.

she smiles at her apprentince and then meows again

Everyone will be so proud of you.
I’m so proud of you oh my gosh!

Her apprentince had caught a mouse she wasn’t a failure mentor after all!
