Specklekit tried to prevent herself from quivering. Ah... she was so cold. Her fur was standing on edge and goosebumps ran across her spine. Was it leaf-bare? She remembered one time, it had gotten really cold during leaf-bare and the kits had all cuddled together to keep warm. Maybe it was leaf-bare again.

She still couldn't really understand what was going on. She wanted to go back to the nursery and play with her friends. But the big cats had told her that she'd make her friends cold too. Specklekit let out a sigh. She was so bored. And so cold. She started violently coughing. Ah, when would it stop? When could she be warm again?
