Clementine suddenly hit the rocks and pebbles at the base of the shallow pool and sat up in a flash. Her shoulders neck and head just popped out of the water and she looked sober at rainpelt. She offered a weak smile and slowly stood wadding over to the edge. Stupid stupid stupid! she thought as she scrambled up to the bank. She was careful not to stand too close and shook off her fur sending thin sheets of frigid water spraying out in every direction. Now her golden fur was stuck out on end like an orange porcupine. She frowned and looked over her whole body moaning whenever she saw moss caught in it. She shook out her fur a second time and huffed when most of the water was gone, she sat and looked at rainpelt. "I'm never going to be a warrior" she sniffles wip her nose with a swipe of her paw.

Rainpelt looked over the orange shecat, fur and saw bits of debris clinging to clinging to her fur here and there. She cocked and eyebrow and reached out with her paw, swiping a particular large chunk of dead leaf off of the top of the apprentices head. "Because you fell in a steam the first time you ever tried to catch a fish? Don't be stupid. If apprentices you lost their footing never became Riverclan warrior's Riverclan would have no warriors. Hitting a live target is difficult. Here," the spotted shecat marched over toward the stream, scooping up a large leaf from the ground as she went. "I'm going to let this float downstream toward you. Try and scoop it onto the shore with your paw." With no more explanation than that, Rainpelt set the leaf on the water's surface and watched as it began to float along toward where Clementine sat on the bank. @
