She had only scanned it, so she started padding back to the nursery, still trying to pick up a scent.

Beachkit was working his way slowly to the entrance of the nursery. Having seen Poolkit walk out, he crept closer and closer until he heard her coming back. He covered the last tail lengths of distant in just a few bounds. He crouched by the entrance, far enough back to work into the shadows and not be seen, which is where he waited for her to come back inside.
