Sorrelpaw looked at the three skinning shrews. As much as he wanted to go back to camp he knew that that was definitely not enough. Sorrelpaw shook his head slightly and then started sniffing for more prey. He thought with a pang whether his parents would have hunted with him if they were still alive. Maybe they would have taught him to fight! He was lost in thought for so long he forgot what he was doing. He shook his head to clear his mind and looked at Leaftail, confused,"w-what were we doing...?"

Leaftail gave him a concerned look. "Just looking for prey." She looked down at the shrews and sighed. "We should probably hunt some more." She dug a shallow hole to bury her prey, but her gaze returned to Sorrelpaw's face. "Are you okay?" she asked.
Of course, she remembered him now. Sorrelpaw's parents had died. She couldn't blame him for being a little out of it.
