Shinefang didn't break his pace as he moved, but one of his shredded ears gave a twitch as the apprentice spoke. "Are you feeling sick?" he asked her. He remembered that when Acornpaw had come in with a head injury, he had been sick to his stomach as well. If the apprentice had fallen far enough to break her leg, she could have hit her head as well. And that would be a problem... He hadn't known how to help Acornpaw when he had a head injury. That was the first patient to die in his den.
