Lightningstorm remained quiet, her narrowed eyes the only response she gave Hollowfoot as she cleaned away his wound. He wasn't the first cat she'd heard bring up the Dark Forest, but in her experience, those who spoke of it didn't take long to break and become murderers. There had been only one exception in her life to this rule, and he had vanished. She didn't know what had happened to him. He wouldn't say. She understood the Dark Forest, much like StarClan, could not hurt you. Not physically. Beyond a few nightmare fueled terrors, the cats were all talk. True, they could make dreams a hellscape, but nothing compared to the night terrors she had been experiencing her entire life. Milknose had been different, however. Softer. More emotional. No doubt easier to break.

Placing the poultice on the tom's injury, she slathered it evenly, knowing the herb was proper useful for helping seal wounds of this magnitude. Still, cobwebs wouldn't hurt, and soon enough the injury was well bandaged. It might sting for a few days, maybe even itch, but nothing worth spending even more herbs on. Besides, the warrior's words still echoed in her head, reminding her all too well of the warning she had been given by the StarClan queen. The one who had answered her the last day Cowtuft had been welcomed here. It was clear that the Dark Forest was up to something. Had they seen promise in this one? Had he gained that injury while following orders from some star shunned rat? Or had he started down a dark path already, and had been wanting to see just how far he could go down it before the threat of being dragged to hell became all to real for him?

"The Dark Forest is the place where your clan's murderers and traitors go to. The cats who liked to play with the lives of others as though they were little more than prey. It's were every cat who did not abide by the warriors' code eventually finds themselves. Your wounds have been patched now, haven't they? If that will be all, you are free to leave. We are done here," she mewed, her gaze deadpanned as she met the tom's cautious glance with her own stormy stare.

@RoboPrism [Hollowfoot]
Hollowfoot dipped his head respectfully in thanks. "I see. Thank you for your time, Lightningstorm."

He glanced at the she-cat's wary eyes, before turning. Despite what he had encountered, he had been promised that StarClan would not turn him away... Why had a cat like the one he'd met been there? Was the warrior code some afterlife law?

As he slunk out the den's entrance he winced at a sting on his face.
For you... I would give up StarClan regardless. If that's what it takes for this to work... what's one compared to all the others? Especially me...

Elkgrowl's cold eyes flickered in his mind.
