Quite the opposite of Nathan, actually. But, nevertheless, the two brothers were almost inseparable, and even their familiar-looking faces could show that. Nathan was almost always late for school, and would surprise any one of his class mates if he wasn't just in after the bell. Today, he would be tardy again. That was a given. But, with his hazel eyes scanning over the masses of students, before landing on a fairly recognisable one, Nathan had a good reason to be late this time.
The caramel-skinned teen quickened up his pace, albeit not to an overly-fast one. Nah, he was too leisurely for that. Nathan approached the short boy with a large smirk looming over his face. He had his dark red rucksack -- battered and beaten up -- pulled over on a single shoulder, the other strap hanging loosely by his spine.
"You come here often, kid ?" he spoke up, his voice dripping with sarcasm. For his age, his voice was actually surprisingly deep. Puberty had certainly hit early for the teen, and it was kind of obvious. He was tall, slim, and had voice cracks fairly often, but he wasn't losing his interest in school or gaming. That was a definite.
A voice shook the young teen from his thoughts, making him jump a little. His head turned quickly and his gaze fell upon Nathan. Leigh raised a brow slightly, the rubber-band twiddling ceasing. He knew of Nathan’s fondness for sarcasm but couldn’t quite tell if this was him being sarcastic or whether this was an actual question, so Leigh stared at the other for a second longer than most before hesitantly saying, ”Like, every day? Unless I’m sick...”This had meant to be a statement, though the boy’s voice rose, making it sound more like he was guessing, rather than actually answering.

Leigh really was trying his hardest to “get” sarcasm and he’d been working at it for a while, though clearly much work was needed to be done. Sarcasm wasn’t used much in his home and he’d been homeschooled up until his freshman year of High School; a mistake on behalf of his parents. While he was up to date academically, Leigh wasn’t used to the amount of socialisation in a public school. The only people he’d spoken to before were just his parents, grandparents, and the occasional neighbor. Besides that, he didn’t have very good social skills. Leigh was certainly polite enough, and often apologised excessively, and had perfectly fine manors. Though, he wasn’t so good when it came to joking around or in this case; sarcasm.
