[Boulder]

The mustang raised her head, eating the grass she just picked up with her mouth. Her tail gave a light flick as she felt some annoying flies on her hips. The pasture she was in was rather big, the grass growing easily and the water filling some buckets near the entrance. The mare lowered her head once more to eat some more grass, wondering when her rider was going to come. She didn't want to leave the pasture, that from her point of view looked like a beautiful place. She wasn't aware of the lands that lied after the ranch, nor the other horses that lived out there. As a horse, Amarante never really cared about it. As the sun rays were warming up her body, the mare would begin to walk towards a large tree, hoping that its shadow would shelter the horse until the heat would be bearable again, out there.
Time passed by, but her rider wasn't there. Ran perked her ears, hoping to catch something - a faint glimpse or a distant noise - that would mean her human was coming for her. The only thing she liked about carrying those youngsters was being groomed. She'd neigh softly, starting to walk towards the fence. Nobody? Really? Ran let out a frustrated snort, but didn't complain that much: no rider meant no work, and no work meant more time in the pasture.
