They were his medicine cat, it was easy to sense things like that. but when asked a question they wouldn't hesitate to tell the truth and give their complete answer. ¨I do not wish to visit Starclan unless absolutely necessary;not that your ceremony wasnt important. Id rather avoid walking in the same poxsimity of cats who play god.¨ their tone was calm and collected, but had an edge to it; a warning to not press further. Daypaw knew Goldenstar didnt know about their nightmares, and they honestly didnt trust him to share about those yet. He was their leader, but would have to gain his medicine cats trust. Wrapping their tail neatly around their paws at they sat, they gazed around the starcave, memories of their apprentice ceremony here. That had been awhile ago, now here they were giving their leader their title. ¨How do you feel?¨
Goldenstar listened as Daypaw responded, trying not to flinch as he heard the edge to their voice. He wondered what made the medicine cat that way, however, he wasn’t going to ask that aloud. Daypaw was allowed to have their own opinion, and he didn’t really have the authority to do something like that. Well, he supposed he kind of did, but that wasn’t what he wanted to do with his authority. That Made it all sound stupid, but, of course, he wasn’t going to admit that. Cats were allowed to have their own opinions, sure, it might not be a good opinion, but they still were allowed to have one. When Daypaw asked him how he was feeling, he had to reel back a bit and think about himself. That was when it came down to two different things for him. It was either lie about how he was feeling, or be honest. How did he feel? Like he was being slowly crushed by a tree. Did he really want to say that though? He decided he didn’t want to, and ended up just saying “Not that different, honestly,” he said, almost forcing out the words in a sort of way, yet it still sounded like he wasn’t lying, looking at Daypaw calmly now.
