The ginger tom continued walking. Wasn't camp getting any closer? It seemed like such a long walk. However, he was grateful for the moors. There wasn't anything to avoid like branches or creeks. It was flat and he could see everything at the top of the hills. That was his favorite part. The ginger tom looked towards the sky as he lit up brighter and brighter. The time was definitely going by though. His limp probably didn't help their pace. "You don't have to walk with me. Catch up with the others if you want, they're almost to camp, I'm just slowing you up," he commented, gesturing to the cats ahead of them. They were almost to camp at this point and couldn't hear anything they were talking about and vice versa. He was positive it was just a lot of battle gossip.

Rosethorn didn't object to Blazingstar's first comment, nodding. Blazingstar's word was law, after all; she wouldn't interfere with his orders, not unless she had reason to, which she didn't at that moment. She paused at the crest of the hill, looking over the moors that had become so familiar to her, warm and inviting. It was much more of a home to her than the Dusk Syndicate's territory had been, that's for sure. She breathed in the subtle scent of grass and flowers, carried through the plains by the wind that had given their clan its name. However, upon hearing Blazingstar again, she jerked her head up and looked over at him. "No!" She protested, the word spilling out of her mouth before she could think of a better, and more polite way to say it. She stared at him for a moment, shaking her head. "No." She repeated, albeit calmer than before. "Blazingstar, I have my reasons for personally escorting you to camp. I'm not going to back out on it, not when we're this close to camp, to gossip about the battle with cats that I hardly know." She said firmly, her tone enough to show that she was serious and would not argue with Blazingstar about it. She tried for a smile, slightly apologetic for her outburst. "I'm enjoying this, honest." She said softly, her face heating up under her pelt. She was once again thankful for the thick fur that she had; it was almost impossible for someone to tell that she was blushing.
