Downpourpaw listened to each of their side conversations with interest, tilting his head ever so slightly. ‘Cute?’ An alarm went off in his head as he tried to be as nonchalant as he could. Maybe he would get to know this Maple... they were the same age, and he was close to warriorhood himself. Perhaps when they both became warriors...

With no warning, the tom grunted and turned around, heading back to camp. He had to think straight... what was that he was missing? Ah, his kill! He frantically searched for where he buried his prey, as they would need it in the snowy leaf-bare. Picking up his kills, he continued onto camp, occasionally checking behind him for reassurance that the group was following him.
