It was either lie about how he was feeling, or be honest. How did he feel? Like he was being slowly crushed by a tree. Did he really want to say that though? He decided he didn’t want to, and ended up just saying “Not that different, honestly,” he said, almost forcing out the words in a sort of way, yet it still sounded like he wasn’t lying, looking at Daypaw calmly now. |

They stood up now, giving a small stretch. this was the first step for shadowclan. after this, they would be walking back home to their own territory. it would be a new chapter of rebuilding. they could remember what it was like to take kestrelberrys place. perhaps it was sort of like a new start for both of them. they walked towards the leader, leaning forward and pressing a lick to the toms head. geckoleaf said that was a thing they had to do after ceremonies like this or something, weird. but they did it anyway, licking the leaders forehead and pulling away. ¨Youre now Goldenstar,leader of Shadowclan,¨ it was a rarity, but daypaw smiled. a small, crooked but genuine one. ¨lets go home, ill get you some prey and herbs that will make you feel slightly better.¨
