Fernstar overheard the conversation, her ears swiveling to catch what her deputy was saying. She purred at the kit's hunting display.
"You can go with the patrol, Blossomkit, but you must not scare away any prey. You still have plenty of time to practice your hunting skills. But like SilverShade said, only as far as the Tall Pinetree.
Bramblefrost purred in amusement, "Me, go on a hunting patrol? With this belly full of kits? I think not!"
Fernstar licked her shoulder fur and addressed her deputy, "I wouldn't mind taking Bramblefrost's place. I haven't been out of the camp in a while."
