[ in the forest of savages, a bitter soul wandered the twisting trees.

his name was death, and he had recently been abandoned, his old life and old name forgotten. the dusk syndicate was no more.

so like a shadow, he prowled through the woodland, fending for himself. he hated it, absolutely. he wanted the dusk syndicate back, so at least this gnawing, throbbing feeling of loneliness would ease up.

the black cat was slipping through roots and branches, his trained paws barely making any sound. his sharp and wide green eyes surveyed the land, curious and narrowed.

however in his stupor, he was quite... what was the word? oh right. bored. he had never been bored in the dusk syndicate, but now as loneliness loomed over like a light, boredom was ever present.

though this didn't last long, as he started to scent another cat in his vicinity. maybe he could sharpen his claws, stain them with blood like he used to. the pitch-black feline followed the scent trail duly, until his eyes reached upon an unfamiliar sight.

for one, she had a striking orange-ginger coat, and a muscular build. death could say that she was rather pretty, but he'd never admit that. the former dusk syndicate watched her from a bush, olive eyes gleaming in the darkness. ]
