[ the she-cat's nonchalant tone certainly caught the battle-hardened warrior off surprise. why was she so... happy? it almost seemed abstract to death, but oh well. he guessed this was how regular loners acted.
with claws slowly sliding out - he was taught to never be caught off guard - he emerged from the bush. a sleek black head and cold green eyes faced celesta, and there was not much of an expression on his face. he didn't move, he only stayed there, as if he was just peeking out.
"...do you talk to every cat like this?" was his first question, his mouth curving into a confused half-sneer half-frown. ]
