Instead of letting it get under her fur, the light colored tabby simply stared straight ahead. She was here to meet with Surgestorm and learn the basics of healing, nothing else. Blazingstar was nowhere to be found, and Heatherfur assumed he was either in his den or out - either way, she made it a purpose to avoid him altogether if she could. "Thank you, Jaypaw," she mewed to the escorting apprentice, who simply nodded as they came to the entrance of the medicine den.

"Let me know if you need anything... We miss you, Heatherfur," the young tom meowed, his tail tip flicking back and forth behind him as he spoke.

Heatherfur felt her pale gaze light up with nostalgia and she touched her nose to his head. "And I you." Without much other conversation, for fear that she would let her true emotions shine through, the RiverClan medicine cat padded into the den, letting her eyes adjust to the familiar dim lighting. It was just as she remembered it - somewhat tidy, with the scent of the moorland and herbs mingling every which way. Already up and sitting near the back of the den was Surgestorm. She felt a rush of grief flood her heart - the last time she had seen her former friend he had been trying to talk her into coming back to WindClan. He insisted that everything would be okay - Surgestorm was great at doing that - but she knew she had no choice. Once she mentioned to him StarClan's sign, everything else had melted away. Even Surgestorm knew he couldn't fight StarClan, much as he tried to. At least he had granted her training in place of her absent warrior ancestors, and for that the tabby was grateful. "Hello, Surgestorm," she purred, her pale green eyes lit up with a friendly greeting as she waved her fluffy tail in a hello.
Surgestorm had risen early in the morning, waking up with the sun just peaking above the horizon. He hadn't slept well; too excited and kind of nervous to have Heatherfur joining him and Oriolepaw in this training session today. He had spent his time deciding which things to teach today and how exactly to phrase it. He would it over in his head a few times as to not wake the sleeping Oriolepaw in her nest a few fox-lengths away. He turned at Heatherfur's arrival, surprised that the time had gone so quickly. "Hello, my friend!" He meowed, hopping to his paws. "How were your travels?" The WindClan medicine cat padded casually over to his sleeping apprentice, shaking her gently to wake her up. He hadn't meant to let her sleep in so long, but time had given him the slip. His yellow orbs returned to the former WindClan warrior after a moment to observe if Oriolepaw had stirred, awaiting her response now.
