A dark rustle in the shadow of a holly bush. A low scuffling. The ground quivers. Your ears perk, forward and straightened, until you can hear as much as possible. There. You hear a tiny, racing heartbeat, and your eyes strain to see the prey.
Suddenly, the pale gray form of a mouse darts out of the bush. You launch after it, stealth forgotten, until you realize another one's behind you. Turning abruptly, you startle the other mouse and kill it with a clean shake of your head. There, you sit, panting, and taking a gulp of the prey every now and then. Hopefully, you would meet no trouble on thhe way back to your den.
