if you can't handle a not very descriptive birth scene (it really isn't) written in a series directed toward pre-teens, this field likely isn't for you. there's a lot worse things out there you'll be exposed to.

i would suggest taking the time to volunteer at your local rescues, a humane society, or shadowing a vet if you can to get a feel for some of the things you might see if you pursue this career.
