As soon as Floodsight sprang from her position, Poppyburst followed suit. Leaping over the undergrowth, the tortoiseshell slammed a paw onto another robin, letting one claw slice its neck.
A second one flew upward, but it was too late. The warrior stretched out her neck and grasped the second bird between her jaws, her teeth clamping down tight to break her quarry´s neck.
Poppyburst set down her second robin beside her first, her tail swaying behind her and a purr of satisfaction rolling softly in her throat as not to distract Blizzardoak from his catch.

Floodsight nodded at the white furred warrior. That was a good plan indeed. A plan that allowed each of them to use their skills and natural appearances effectively. As expected of a warrior of his age. Smart and had the ability to lead a group of cats with teamwork. A trait that Floodsight wished she'll be able to learn and use effectively one day. The silver molly made her way to the area Blizzardoak spoke about. There was a bunch of stones disarranged, but natural. The perfect camouflage. The colour of the rocks had matched her own pelt; gray, silver, and under the sunlight, a warm cream tone had snuck in.
Floodsight took her position and waited silently.
There! Poppyburst flicked her tail and gave the signal. Floodsight raced towards the tightly rounded birds, and launched herself at one specifically while making sure the others would fly in her clanmate's direction.

Surprisingly discord rolls were generous today. A perfect catch!
Floodsight pounced down on one of the robins and hit another out of balance before it began it's flight. Swiftly, she'd made a clean kill before taking a glance at the brown wings starting to flutter rapidly in the air.
When the attack began it began fast. Floodsight went first as planned. Her body pelted from the cover of the stones, the rocks clacking together as they rumbled to more level ground in her wake. Poppyburst was next to rapidly pursue their quarry. Her tail was spinning behind her like a rotor, keeping her balanced as she navigated her angle of attack. Blizzardoak slid from behind the tree in a burst. He had coiled his haunches in anticipation, readying for the moment when he would finally sink his waiting teeth into live prey again. The tom gleefully realized the distance seemed to be rapidly closing, as he observed his two companions bring several sparrows low. Yes! Just like old...."Aghhhck..." His back leg stiffened as pain spasmed up his left side, it was all he could do not to fall over.
The final sparrow was right in front of him bouncing around the group in a dazed terror. In spite of the pain Blizzardoak leapt with paws outstretched, but only his right set of claws connected with the sparrows tail feathers. He tried to drag it down but the bird managed to break free of his handicapped paw, leaving only a feather behind. The small creature chittered loudly as it flew away. Frowning and feather still attached, the former elder flexed his claws in agitation. Only two claws emerged from the jet black paw that had failed to snatch the robin. The empty middle slot where another claw should have been, stung dully. He calmed down looking at it transfixed. I wonder if you're the reason I missed? He turned his bright green eyes to the sky and laughed a smirk covering his face.
As his gruff laughter faded as speedily as it had appeared, the warrior turned to look at the other two who were collecting their kills,"I don't suppose anyone in the clan eats feathers do they?"Guess i'm going to be fed...Again..Darn leg.. The long furred patrol leader held back a sigh, trying not to show his disappointment. "Excellent work, both of you." He stated sincerely.

She watched as Poppyburst leapt and grabbed two as once. It was certainly a unique tactic. Perhaps one she could implement into the future. And there was Blizzardoak, who made a grand leap but seeming to have trouble due to...some injury? Perhaps? But it concerned her a little so she swiftly made her way towards the older warrior with worry written all over her face. "A-are you alright?"
The quick joke Blizzardoak made lessened her worry, but she wanted to make sure either way. Just in case.

Rosehawk later returned with three mice between her jaws, dropping them beside the squirrels. There, she waited for Adderstrike and Marshpaw.

Oh bother. Adderstrike looked to the sky and saw that the sun was starting to bleed. She flicked her tail in frustration. So much for trying to spot out NEW hunting spots around here, it wasted all of her time and gave her zilch! She smacked the ground hard and threw up a bloom of sandy loam before she forze for a moment.
Woah hang on there.
Reverse. Adderstrike, why are you acting like this? Maybe she wasn't that angry about not being able to find prey but it was a perfect outlet for all of her frustrations. Making a mental note to come back to this issue later, the warrior took a deep breath to center herself again. It wasn't a failure that she didn't find anything around this spot of the thicket, it was a success in a different way than she had expected/wanted. She learned that this part was a bad spot to look for prey and now she wouldn't waste her time here next time. Yet, she felt a tad guilty spending all of this time and only having two rats to show for it. Yeah if they left sooner it would have been alright but now it looked meager.
With renewed vigor, Adderstrike walked out to stalk for more prey. Going to a better spot, Adderstrike was quickly rewarded for her efforts and found herself three mice. Quickly and happily the warrior struck them down. A giddy feeling ran through her from the accomplishment and the warrior collected the prey all up. With that bundled up, she walked over to Rosehawk and motioned for her to follow her back to the clan.
Wisteriawren was happy to be out of camp. Happy to be attempting hunting. Happy to being taught hunting by someone she'd come to trust over the moons. Happy to be. . . Or maybe she was just happy to be spending time with a specific, certain feline.
Glancing sidelong at Rowanmane as her latest catch (in better words, the prey they'd been trying to track down for her to catch) got away from her soft, clawless paws because she'd not put enough strength into her paw long enough to hold down the prey so she would be able to bite it, and essentially kill it. That was the fourth piece of prey that had gotten away from her that evening - and she had nothing to show for their entire outing together. Rowanmane was probably getting frustrated with her ineptitude. She knew she should have tried to do this on her own instead of asking for help and embarrassing herself over and over.
Though... despite her failures, she still felt... happy inside. Lighter. That Rowanmane hadn't laughed or scorned her when she'd brought him out here and told her about her declawed state. He'd just... still offered to help her. And seeing that, Wisteriawren recognized the way it warmed her heart.
Offering her companion a hesitant, awkward smile, the grey molly sat back on her haunches. "Another one got away..." She murmured, ducking her head sheepishly, voice apologetic. She needed to stop accidentally letting them go. But it wasn't her fault mice wriggled so much when they were frantic for their lives. Gaze on the ground, Wisteriawren's attention landed on a windflower. Plucking it gently, she offered it to Rowanmane without a thought, mostly out of reflex, in apology for her numerous blunders.
