Halloween is coming around and to spice things up on WCO,
we're hosting a Halloween Forum Candy Hunt, Arttober, and a Spookiest Profile Contest!!
Since it's closer to Halloween now, let's get some things rolling!
Halloween Candy Hunt
Who doesn't like candy, right? Staff loves it!
In turn, we've hidden some candy around the site forums just for you guys!!
The Candy Hunt will start October 27th and conclude October 28th @ 11:59pm, which gives you a day to search the forums for this:
Each candy will be linked to a word, so you'll have to click the candy to reveal the word.
Once you've found a candy, write down the word linked to it so you don't forget it.
There will be twenty-five (25) of these around site.
Once you've found all of them, PM
Empress of Evil,
Mauve,
King Kaleb!, or
myself with the list of words you've found to receive your award.
You need at least fifteen (15) to receive a participation award!
Finding all twenty-five (25) words will give you a completion award!
WCO's Arttober
This fun little idea is based off of Inktober!
Starting October 24th, we will be giving a general theme for all you artists to draw.
This will be one week long! Concluding on October 31st!
This can be digital or traditional!
Each theme listed is based off a plot or major occurrence that happened here on WCO.
Since we won't give away the meaning behind the theme, you can interpret the word however you feel represents it.
Themes
Day 1: Chaos
Day 2: Destruction
Day 3: Torment
Day 4: Washed away
Day 5: War
Day 6: Storm
Day 7: Broken
Rules
1. Must be based off your own OC's or other members.
2. Within WCO guidelines! Also meaning,
no excessive gore!
3. Submit to the WCO United Deviantart [
here] and/or the thread [
here]
- There will be a folder open when this event starts called "Arttober"
4. If unable to submit to DA, find someone who is willing to submit it for you or PM any staff member with your submission/thread.
5. You can make a thread to submit your items if you want. However, we'd like to have it on DA/the thread or PM'd each day you participate too.
Whether you complete all the days or not, you will receive a unique award.
Halloween Profile Contest
Let's spook things up around here by trying something new.
We're happy to introduce a new kind of contest to WCO, a profile theme.
The theme this month is: Spooky
Please Note
○ A name change is not required.
○ A profile song is not required.
○ Follow WCO guidelines, so
no excessive gore and no jump scares!
○ Participants who violate any guidelines will be disqualified.
○ Participants who plead for votes or talk down on a different profile will be disqualified.
○ When voting, send a PM to Sus with one (1) name!
