Ivy was sitting on the twoleg's garden chair, thinking about the old days. Life was fairly boring. She couldn't visit her kit a few gardens down, their twolegs had taken them to the vet. She had to admit, life in Shadowclan was much more exciting, even if it wasn't always good. Her time in the forest with her mate and kits was probably the best time of her life, and being an innocent kit who knew nothing of the world was a close second. But the only thing that spoiled her thoughts of her family was that fire. Those damn twolegs. She knew not all twolegs were bad, but a lot were. Twolegs fit into three groups in Ivy's mind.
Group 1: The ignorant. They didn't care about cats, ignored them, and cats and those twolegs lived apart.
Twoleg kits fit into this category, only because Ivy didn't know where else to put them. They played roughly, pulled tails, and screamed loudly, but if they were of the same mindset as cat kits, then they didn't know any better. Ivy put up with them.
Group 2: The malicious. These were the twolegs that caused harm to cats, directly or indirectly. They set fires, poisoned cats, and hurt them in ways Ivy didn't like to think about. These were the twolegs that destroyed her home and family.
Group 3: The benevolent. Some twolegs actively liked and took care of cats. They would help cats with injuries, let them live in their homes, and let them catch mice in their barns. Ivy didn't know why they liked cats, but she wouldn't complain. Ivy's twolegs are in this category.
How did Ivy know twolegs had caused the forest fire? It was simple. There were only two reasons fires started. Lightning struck a tree and ignited it, or twolegs caused it. The day it occurred was clear and bright, no thunderclouds or lightning to be seen. After the fire, she saw twolegs running in and out of the forest. That was how she knew.
(Ivy is right. Some teenagers being stupid caused the fire)
